2020-03-04doc: sfp-phylink: correct code indentationRussell King1-16/+16
Using vim to edit the phylink documentation reveals some mistakes due to the "invisible" pythonesque white space indentation that can't be seen with other editors. Fix it. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@armlinux.org.uk> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2020-02-28net/mlx5e: Add devlink fdb_large_groups parameterJianbo Liu1-0/+6
Add a devlink parameter to control the number of large groups in a autogrouped flow table. The default value is 15, and the range is between 1 and 1024. The size of each large group can be calculated according to the following formula: size = 4M / (fdb_large_groups + 1). Examples: - Set the number of large groups to 20. $ devlink dev param set pci/0000:82:00.0 name fdb_large_groups \ cmode driverinit value 20 Then run devlink reload command to apply the new value. $ devlink dev reload pci/0000:82:00.0 - Read the number of large groups in flow table. $ devlink dev param show pci/0000:82:00.0 name fdb_large_groups pci/0000:82:00.0: name fdb_large_groups type driver-specific values: cmode driverinit value 20 Signed-off-by: Jianbo Liu <jianbol@mellanox.com> Reviewed-by: Vlad Buslov <vladbu@mellanox.com> Reviewed-by: Roi Dayan <roid@mellanox.com> Acked-by: Jiri Pirko <jiri@mellanox.com> Signed-off-by: Saeed Mahameed <saeedm@mellanox.com>
2020-02-27net: phylink: propagate resolved link config via mac_link_up()Russell King1-3/+14
Propagate the resolved link parameters via the mac_link_up() call for MACs that do not automatically track their PCS state. We propagate the link parameters via function arguments so that inappropriate members of struct phylink_link_state can't be accessed, and creating a new structure just for this adds needless complexity to the API. 2020-02-25net: Special handling for IP & MPLS.Martin Varghese1-1/+19
Special handling is needed in bareudp module for IP & MPLS as they support more than one ethertypes. MPLS has 2 ethertypes. 0x8847 for MPLS unicast and 0x8848 for MPLS multicast. While decapsulating MPLS packet from UDP packet the tunnel destination IP address is checked to determine the ethertype. The ethertype of the packet will be set to 0x8848 if the tunnel destination IP address is a multicast IP address. The ethertype of the packet will be set to 0x8847 if the tunnel destination IP address is a unicast IP address. IP has 2 ethertypes.0x0800 for IPV4 and 0x86dd for IPv6. The version field of the IP header tunnelled will be checked to determine the ethertype. This special handling to tunnel additional ethertypes will be disabled by default and can be enabled using a flag called multiproto. This flag can be used only with ethertypes 0x8847 and 0x0800. 2020-01-11devlink: convert driver-specific files to reStructuredTextJacob Keller14-69/+221
Several drivers document what parameters they support in a devlink-params-*.txt file. This file is supposed to contain both the list of generic parameters implemented by the driver, as well as a list of driver-specific parameters and their descriptions. It would also be good if the driver documentation included other driver-specific implementations, such as info versions, devlink regions, and so forth. Convert all of these documentation files to reStructuredText, and rename them to just the driver name. Future changes will include other driver-specific implementations. Each file will contain a table for the generic parameters implemented, as well as a separate table for the driver-specific parameters. Future sections such as for devlink info versions will be added to these files. This avoids creating additional devlink-<feature>-<driver> files for each devlink feature, reducing clutter in the documentation folder. 2020-01-06net: phylink: add support for polling MAC PCSVladimir Oltean1-1/+2
Some MAC PCS blocks are unable to provide interrupts when their status changes. As we already have support in phylink for polling status, use this to provide a hook for MACs to enable polling mode. The patch idea was picked up from Russell King's suggestion on the macb phylink patch thread here [0] but the implementation was changed. Instead of introducing a new phylink_start_poll() function, which would make the implementation cumbersome for common PHYLINK implementations for multiple types of devices, like DSA, just add a boolean property to the phylink_config structure, which is just as backwards-compatible. https://lkml.org/lkml/2019/12/16/603 Suggested-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@armlinux.org.uk> Signed-off-by: Vladimir Oltean <vladimir.oltean@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: David S.
