2021-02-10crypto: arm64/sha3-ce - simplify NEON yieldArd Biesheuvel1-5/+9
Instead of calling into kernel_neon_end() and kernel_neon_begin() (and potentially into schedule()) from the assembler code when running in task mode and a reschedule is pending, perform only the preempt count check in assembler, but simply return early in this case, and let the C code deal with the consequences. This reverts commit 7edc86cb1c18b4c274672232117586ea2bef1d9a. Signed-off-by: Ard Biesheuvel <ardb@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>
2021-01-22crypto: arm64/sha - add missing module aliasesArd Biesheuvel1-0/+4
The accelerated, instruction based implementations of SHA1, SHA2 and SHA3 are autoloaded based on CPU capabilities, given that the code is modest in size, and widely used, which means that resolving the algo name, loading all compatible modules and picking the one with the highest priority is taken to be suboptimal. However, if these algorithms are requested before this CPU feature based matching and autoloading occurs, these modules are not even considered, and we end up with suboptimal performance. So add the missing module aliases for the various SHA implementations. 2020-10-30crypto: hash - Use memzero_explicit() for clearing stateArvind Sankar1-1/+1
Without the barrier_data() inside memzero_explicit(), the compiler may optimize away the state-clearing if it can tell that the state is not used afterwards. 2019-03-22crypto: arm64 - convert to use crypto_simd_usable()Eric Biggers1-2/+3
Replace all calls to may_use_simd() in the arm64 crypto code with crypto_simd_usable(), in order to allow testing the no-SIMD code paths. Signed-off-by: Eric Biggers <ebiggers@google.com> Reviewed-by: Ard Biesheuvel <ard.biesheuvel@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>
2018-07-08crypto: shash - remove useless setting of type flagsEric Biggers1-4/+0
Many shash algorithms set .cra_flags = CRYPTO_ALG_TYPE_SHASH. But this is redundant with the C structure type ('struct shash_alg'), and crypto_register_shash() already sets the type flag automatically, clearing any type flag that was already there. Apparently the useless assignment has just been copy+pasted around. So, remove the useless assignment from all the shash algorithms. This patch shouldn't change any actual behavior.
