2020-04-15media: move CEC platform drivers to a separate directoryMauro Carvalho Chehab1-481/+0
As CEC support doesn't depend on MEDIA_SUPPORT, let's place the platform drivers outside the media menu. As a side effect, instead of depends on PCI, seco driver can select it (and DMI). 2020-01-06remove ioremap_nocache and devm_ioremap_nocacheChristoph Hellwig1-1/+1
ioremap has provided non-cached semantics by default since the Linux 2.6 days, so remove the additional ioremap_nocache interface. Signed-off-by: Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de> Acked-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>
2019-10-07cec: add cec_adapter to cec_notifier_cec_adap_unregister()Hans Verkuil1-2/+2
It is possible for one HDMI connector to have multiple CEC adapters. The typical real-world scenario is that where one adapter is used when the device is in standby, and one that's better/smarter when the device is powered up. The cec-notifier changes were made with that in mind, but I missed that in order to support this you need to tell cec_notifier_cec_adap_unregister() which adapter you are unregistering from the notifier. Add this additional argument. It is currently unused, but once all drivers use this, the CEC core will be adapted for these use-cases. 2019-07-23media: tegra-cec: use cec_notifier_cec_adap_(un)registerHans Verkuil1-17/+18
Use cec_notifier_cec_adap_(un)register instead of cec_notifier_get, cec_notifier_put and cec_register_cec_notifier. Also enable the CEC_CAP_CONNECTOR_INFO capability. 2019-05-08media: tegra-cec: fix cec_notifier_parse_hdmi_phandle return checkHans Verkuil1-2/+2
cec_notifier_parse_hdmi_phandle returns an error pointer, not a NULL pointer on error. 2019-04-22media: tegra_cec: use new cec_notifier_parse_hdmi_phandle helperHans Verkuil1-10/+4
The Tegra CEC driver increased the HDMI device refcount when it shouldn't. Use the new helper function to ensure that that doesn't happen and to simplify the driver code. Signed-off-by: Hans Verkuil <hverkuil-cisco@xs4all.nl> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab+samsung@kernel.org>
2018-03-05media: tegra-cec: reset rx_buf_cnt when start bit detectedHans Verkuil1-10/+7
If a start bit is detected, then reset the receive buffer counter to 0. This ensures that no stale data is in the buffer if a message is broken off midstream due to e.g. a Low Drive condition and then retransmitted. The only Rx interrupts we need to listen to are RX_REGISTER_FULL (i.e. a valid byte was received) and RX_START_BIT_DETECTED (i.e. a new message starts and we need to reset the counter). 2017-12-08media: tegra-cec: add missing MODULE_DESCRIPTION/AUTHOR/LICENSEJesse Chan1-0/+5
This change resolves a new compile-time warning when built as a loadable module: WARNING: modpost: missing MODULE_LICENSE() in drivers/media/platform/tegra-cec/tegra_cec.o see include/linux/module.h for more information This adds the license as "GPL v2", which matches the header of the file. 2017-10-31media: tegra-cec: fix messy probe() cleanupHans Verkuil1-16/+10
The probe() cleanup code ('goto foo_error') was very messy. It appears that this code wasn't updated when I switched to the devm_ functions in an earlier version. Update the code to use 'return error' where it can and do proper cleanup where it needs to. Note that the original code wasn't buggy, it was just messy. 2017-10-27media: tegra-cec: add Tegra HDMI CEC driverHans Verkuil1-0/+501
This driver adds support for the Tegra CEC IP. It is based on the NVIDIA drivers/misc/tegra-cec driver in their 3.10 kernel. This has been converted to the CEC framework and cleaned up. Tested with my Jetson TK1 board. It has also been tested with the Tegra X1 in an embedded product. Note of warning for the Tegra X2: this SoC supports two HDMI outputs, but only one CEC adapter and the CEC bus is shared between the two outputs. This is a design mistake and the CEC adapter can control only one HDMI output. Never hook up both HDMI outputs to the CEC bus in a hardware design: this is illegal as per the CEC specification. The CEC bus can be shared between multiple inputs and zero or one outputs, but not between multiple outputs.
