2020-06-13treewide: replace '---help---' in Kconfig files with 'help'Masahiro Yamada1-1/+1
Since commit 84af7a6194e4 ("checkpatch: kconfig: prefer 'help' over '---help---'"), the number of '---help---' has been gradually decreasing, but there are still more than 2400 instances. This commit finishes the conversion. While I touched the lines, I also fixed the indentation. There are a variety of indentation styles found. a) 4 spaces + '---help---' b) 7 spaces + '---help---' c) 8 spaces + '---help---' d) 1 space + 1 tab + '---help---' e) 1 tab + '---help---' (correct indentation) f) 1 tab + 1 space + '---help---' g) 1 tab + 2 spaces + '---help---' In order to convert all of them to 1 tab + 'help', I ran the following commend: $ find . -name 'Kconfig*' | xargs sed -i 's/^[[:space:]]*---help---/\thelp/' Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <masahiroy@kernel.org>

2018-05-15Remove jsflash driverJens Axboe1-7/+0
Nobody is using it anymore, and it's been abandoned. Since David is fine with removing it, kill it. Suggested-by: Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de> Acked-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net> Signed-off-by: Jens Axboe <axboe@kernel.dk>

2018-01-22sparc64: Oracle DAX driverRob Gardner1-0/+8
DAX is a coprocessor which resides on the SPARC M7 (DAX1) and M8 (DAX2) processor chips, and has direct access to the CPU's L3 caches as well as physical memory. It can perform several operations on data streams with various input and output formats. This driver provides a transport mechanism and has limited knowledge of the various opcodes and data formats. A user space library provides high level services and translates these into low level commands which are then passed into the driver and subsequently the hypervisor and the coprocessor. The library is the recommended way for applications to use the coprocessor, and the driver interface is not intended for general use. 2013-01-11drivers/sbus/char: remove depends on CONFIG_EXPERIMENTALKees Cook1-4/+3
The CONFIG_EXPERIMENTAL config item has not carried much meaning for a while now and is almost always enabled by default. As agreed during the Linux kernel summit, remove it from any "depends on" lines in Kconfigs. CC: "David S. 2007-02-26[SPARC]: Remove the broken SUN_AURORA driver.Adrian Bunk1-7/+0
The SUN_AURORA driver: - has been marked as BROKEN for more than two years and - is still marked as BROKEN. Drivers that had been marked as BROKEN for such a long time seem to be unlikely to be revived in the forseeable future. But if anyone wants to ever revive this driver, the code is still present in the older kernel releases. Signed-off-by: Adrian Bunk <bunk@stusta.de> Signed-off-by: David S. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
