2020-04-27meta-ibm: move all meta-witherspoon metadataBrad Bishop1-11/+0
The metadata common to all IBM systems is confusingly split between meta-ibm and meta-witherspoon. Move everything to meta-ibm. The meta-ibm README is re-written to more accurately reflect the scope of the layer. Allow the configuration samples (bblayers.conf.sample, local.conf.sample) to be sourced from either meta-ibm or meta-witherspoon until such a time that any workflows and tooling have had the opportunity to move to meta-ibm. 2019-07-24meta-ibm: use ibm-ac-server MACHINEOVERRIDEBrad Bishop1-4/+4
Use an override in bbappends in meta-witherspoon as described and recommended in the "following best practices when creating layers" section of the the Yocto development tasks manual. ibm-ac-server represents common machine configuration shared by all of IBMs "Accelerated Compute" class of servers. Apply it wherever any variables are un-bounded by any override. This enables more flexible use of meta-witherspoon in build configurations, and easy addition of machines to the layer. 2019-05-30meta-ibm: Swift: Add inventory config YAMLMatt Spinler1-1/+1
It will create the xyz.openbmc_project.Inventory.Item.Chassis interface on the chassis. 2019-05-28meta-ibm: witherspoon: inventory: target class recipesBrad Bishop1-0/+3
In the near future meta-phosphor will switch phosphor-inventory-manager over to target class configuration recipes in place of native class configuration recipes. Configuration recipes populate the /usr/share/phosphor-inventory filesystem with the YAML configuration that the phosphor-inventory-manager build process expects. Those are preferable to native class config recipes because native recipes cannot be overridden based on MACHINE. Add a target class recipe for inventory-cleanup so meta-ibm is ready when meta-phosphor makes the cut-over. 2019-04-25Add witherspoon inventory associationsMatt Spinler1-0/+8
Add the inventory association definitions for witherspoon. With these, phosphor-inventory will create the org.openbmc.Associations interface on the specified inventory paths such that the object mapper will create the association D-Bus objects. These associations are used to associate inventory paths to their fans, sensors, and LEDs.
