2020-10-02bus: mhi: core: Introduce sysfs entries for MHIBhaumik Bhatt1-0/+21
Introduce sysfs entries to enable userspace clients the ability to read the serial number and the OEM PK Hash values obtained from BHI. OEMs need to read these device-specific hardware information values through userspace for factory testing purposes and cannot be exposed via degbufs as it may remain disabled for performance reasons. Also, update the documentation for ABI to include these entries. 2020-09-16docs: stable-ABI: Document /sys/kernel/notesStephen Boyd1-0/+5
Document the notes file in sysfs as the running vmlinux's .note section in binary format. Hopefully this helps someone like me realize the kernel exposes the note section in sysfs in the future. Take the date from when the file was introduced. It's been a while so presumably this is stable and not testing material. Add sysfs interface to set boot health status from user space. Add API used by this interface to communicate with firmware. If PMUFW is compiled with CHECK_HEALTHY_BOOT, it will check the healthy bit on FPD WDT expiration. If healthy bit is set by a user application running in Linux, PMUFW will do APU only restart. If healthy bit is not set during FPD WDT expiration, PMUFW will do system restart. The Linux shutdown functionality implemented via PSCI system_off does not include an option to set a scope, i.e. which parts of the system to shut down. This patch creates sysfs that allows to set the shutdown scope for the next shutdown request. When the next shutdown is performed, the platform specific portion of PSCI-system_off can use the chosen shutdown scope. 2019-10-08RDMA/srp: Add parse function for maximum initiator to target IU sizeHonggang Li1-0/+2
According to SRP specifications 'srp-r16a' and 'srp2r06', IOControllerProfile attributes for SRP target port include the maximum initiator to target IU size. SRP connection daemons, such as srp_daemon, can get the value from the subnet manager. The SRP connection daemon can pass this value to kernel. This patch adds a parse function for it. Upstream commit [1] enables the kernel parameter, 'use_imm_data', by default. [1] also use (8 * 1024) as the default value for kernel parameter 'max_imm_data'. With those default values, the maximum initiator to target IU size will be 8260. In case the SRPT modules, which include the in-tree 'ib_srpt.ko' module, do not support SRP-2 'immediate data' feature, the default maximum initiator to target IU size is significantly smaller than 8260. For 'ib_srpt.ko' module, which built from source before [2], the default maximum initiator to target IU is 2116. [1] introduces a regression issue for old srp targets with default kernel parameters, as the connection will be rejected because of a too large maximum initiator to target IU size. Make the SIRQ polarity for Aspeed AST24xx/25xx VUART configurable via sysfs. This setting need to be changed on specific host platforms depending on the selected host interface (LPC / eSPI). The setting is configurable via sysfs rather than device-tree to stay in line with other related configurable settings. On AST2500 the VUART SIRQ polarity can be auto-configured by reading a bit from a configuration register, e.g. the LPC/eSPI interface configuration bit. Tested: Verified on TYAN S7106 mainboard. Thus, the driver to support it has been provided. It required some extension of the generic WMI library, which allows to propagate opaque context to the ->probe() of the individual drivers. This release includes debugfs clean up from Greg KH for several drivers that drop return code check and make debugfs absence or failure non-fatal. The author of this file should be given an award for creativity: the What: fields on this file technically fulfills the description at README. Yet, the way it is, it can't be parsed on a script, and if someone would try to do something like: grep hwmon*/jtag_enable It wouldn't find anything. Fix the What fields in a way that it can be parseable by a script and other search tools.
