2020-10-27dt-bindings: Explicitly allow additional properties in board/SoC schemasRob Herring2-0/+6
In order to add meta-schema checks for additional/unevaluatedProperties being present, all schema need to make this explicit. As the top-level board/SoC schemas always have additional properties, add 'additionalProperties: true'. 2020-07-08MIPS: Loongson: Rename CPU device-tree bindingHuacai Chen1-4/+4
Loongson-3A R1/R2/R3 and Loongson-3B R1/R2 use the same package naming in dts, and Loongson-3A R4 will be different. In cpu.h the classic 64bit Loongson processors are called Loongson64C (C for classic, pre Loongson- 3A R4), and the new 64bit Loongson processors are called Loongson64G (G for generic, Loongson-3A R4+). To keep consistency and make extensible, we rename the classic "loongson3" prefix to "loongson64c", and the new prefix for Loongson-3A R4+ will be "loongson64g". 2019-02-26MIPS: lantiq: Remove separate GPHY Firmware loaderHauke Mehrtens2-54/+0
The separate GPHY Firmware loader driver is not used any more, the GPHY firmware is now loaded by the GSWIP switch driver which also makes use of the GPHY. Remove the old unused GPHY firmware loader driver. The GPHY firmware is useless without an Ethernet and switch driver, it should not harm if loading this does not work for system using an old device tree. I am not aware of any vendor separating the device tree from the kernel binary, it should be ok to remove this. 2018-07-25dt-bindings: remove 'interrupt-parent' from bindingsRob Herring1-2/+0
'interrupt-parent' is often documented as part of define bindings, but it is really outside the scope of a device binding. It's never required in a given node as it is often inherited from a parent node. Or it can be implicit if a parent node is an 'interrupt-controller' node. So remove it from all the binding files. 2017-09-04MIPS: lantiq: Add a GPHY driver which uses the RCU syscon-mfdMartin Blumenstingl1-0/+36
Compared to the old xrx200_phy_fw driver the new version has multiple enhancements. The name of the firmware files does not have to be added to all .dts files anymore - one now configures the GPHY mode (FE or GE) instead. Each GPHY can now also boot separate firmware (thus mixing of GE and FE GPHYs is now possible). 2017-09-04Documentation: DT: MIPS: lantiq: Add docs for the RCU bindingsHauke Mehrtens1-0/+89
This adds the initial documentation for the RCU module (a MFD device which provides USB PHYs, reset controllers and more). The RCU register range is used for multiple purposes. Mostly one device uses one or multiple register exclusively, but for some registers some bits are for one driver and some other bits are for a different driver. Here is the quote from [1]: The unit-address must match the first address specified in the reg property of the node. If the node has no reg property, the @ and unit-address must be omitted and the node-name alone differentiates the node from other nodes at the same level This patch adjusts MIPS dts-files and devicetree binding documentation in accordance with [1].
