Pass a label to the AIPS nodes to make it easier to reference it from other devicetree files. Some i.MX dtsi files already describe labels for the AIPS nodes. Make it available for all SoCs for consistency. U-Boot, for example usually needs to access the AIPS node to pass U-Boot-specific properties. 2020-07-13ARM: dts: imx: default to #pwm-cells = <3> in the SoC dtsi filesUwe Kleine-König1-2/+2
The imx-pwm driver supports 3 cells and this is the more flexible setting. So use it by default and overwrite it back to two for the files that reference the PWMs with just 2 cells to minimize changes. This allows to drop explicit setting to 3 cells for the boards that already depend on this. The boards that are now using 2 cells explicitly can be converted to 3 individually. 2019-04-11ARM: dts: imx51: Specify IMX5_CLK_IPG as "ahb" clock to SDMAAndrey Smirnov1-1/+1
Since 25aaa75df1e6 SDMA driver uses clock rates of "ipg" and "ahb" clock to determine if it needs to configure the IP block as operating at 1:1 or 1:2 clock ratio (ACR bit in SDMAARM_CONFIG). Specifying both clocks as IMX5_CLK_SDMA results in driver incorrectly thinking that ratio is 1:1 which results in broken SDMA funtionality. Fix the code to specify IMX5_CLK_AHB as "ahb" clock for SDMA, to avoid detecting incorrect clock ratio. 2017-01-24ARM: dts: imx: Pass 'chosen' and 'memory' nodesFabio Estevam1-0/+8
Commit 7f107887d199 ("ARM: dts: imx: Remove skeleton.dtsi") causes boot issues when the bootloader does not create a 'chosen' node if such node is not present in the dtb. The reason for the boot failure is well explained by Javier Martinez Canillas: "the decompressor relies on a pre-existing chosen node to be available to insert the command line and merge other ATAGS info." , so pass an empty 'chosen' node to fix the boot problem. This issue has been seen in the kernelci reports with Barebox as bootloader. Also pass the 'memory' node in order to fix boot issues on the SolidRun iMX6 platforms. 2014-03-07ARM: dts: imx51: Add IPU ports and endpoints, move imx-drm node to dtsiPhilipp Zabel1-1/+21
This patch connects IPU and and parallel display device tree nodes using the OF graph bindings described in Documentation/devicetree/bindings/media/video-interfaces.txt The IPU ports correspond to the two display interfaces. The order of endpoints in the ports is arbitrary. Since the imx-drm node now only needs to contain links to the display interfaces, it can be moved to the SoC dtsi level. At the board level, only connections between the display interface ports and panels have to be added.
