2020-08-21arm64: dts: hisilicon: hikey: fixes to comply with adi, adv7533 DT bindingRicardo Cañuelo2-1/+12
[ Upstream commit bbe28fc3cbabbef781bcdf847615d52ce2e26e42 ] hi3660-hikey960.dts: Define a 'ports' node for 'adv7533: adv7533@39' and the 'adi,dsi-lanes' property to make it compliant with the adi,adv7533 DT binding. This fills the requirements to meet the binding requirements, remote endpoints are not defined. hi6220-hikey.dts: Change property name s/pd-gpio/pd-gpios, gpio properties should be plural. This is just a cosmetic change. [ Upstream commit b072714bfc0e42c984b8fd6e069f3ca17de8137a ] Once regulators are disabled after kernel boot, on Espresso board silent hang observed because of LDO7 being disabled. LDO7 actually provide power to CPU cores and non-cpu blocks circuitries. Keep this regulator always-on to fix this hang. 2020-08-21arm64: dts: qcom: msm8916: Replace invalid bias-pull-none propertyStephan Gerhold1-5/+5
[ Upstream commit 1b6a1a162defe649c5599d661b58ac64bb6f31b6 ] msm8916-pins.dtsi specifies "bias-pull-none" for most of the audio pin configurations. This was likely copied from the qcom kernel fork where the same property was used for these audio pins. However, "bias-pull-none" actually does not exist at all - not in mainline and not in downstream. I can only guess that the original intention was to configure "no pull", i.e. bias-disable. Change it to that instead. [ Upstream commit 8a445086f8af0b7b9bd8d1901d6f306bb154f70d ] The puma gmac node currently uses opposite active-values for the gmac phy reset pin. The gpio-declaration uses active-high while the separate snps,reset-active-low property marks the pin as active low. While on the kernel side this works ok, other DT users may get confused - as seen with uboot right now. So bring this in line and make both properties match, similar to the other Rockchip board. 2020-04-02arm64: dts: ls1046ardb: set RGMII interfaces to RGMII_ID modeMadalin Bucur1-2/+2
commit d79e9d7c1e4ba5f95f2ff3541880c40ea9722212 upstream. The correct setting for the RGMII ports on LS1046ARDB is to enable delay on both Rx and Tx so the interface mode used must be PHY_INTERFACE_MODE_RGMII_ID. Since commit 1b3047b5208a80 ("net: phy: realtek: add support for configuring the RX delay on RTL8211F") the Realtek 8211F PHY driver has control over the RGMII RX delay and it is disabling it for RGMII_TXID. The LS1046ARDB uses two such PHYs in RGMII_ID mode but in the device tree the mode was described as "rgmii". Changing the phy-connection-type to "rgmii-id" to address the issue. 2020-04-02arm64: dts: ls1043a-rdb: correct RGMII delay mode to rgmii-idMadalin Bucur1-2/+2
commit 4022d808c45277693ea86478fab1f081ebf997e8 upstream. The correct setting for the RGMII ports on LS1043ARDB is to enable delay on both Rx and Tx so the interface mode used must be PHY_INTERFACE_MODE_RGMII_ID. Since commit 1b3047b5208a80 ("net: phy: realtek: add support for configuring the RX delay on RTL8211F") the Realtek 8211F PHY driver has control over the RGMII RX delay and it is disabling it for RGMII_TXID. The LS1043ARDB uses two such PHYs in RGMII_ID mode but in the device tree the mode was described as "rgmii_txid". This issue was not apparent at the time as the PHY driver took the same action for RGMII_TXID and RGMII_ID back then but it became visible (RX no longer working) after the above patch. 2020-02-28arm64: dts: qcom: msm8996: Disable USB2 PHY suspend by coreManu Gautam1-0/+4
[ Upstream commit d026c96b25b7ce5df89526aad2df988d553edb4d ] QUSB2 PHY on msm8996 doesn't work well when autosuspend by dwc3 core using USB2PHYCFG register is enabled. One of the issue seen is that PHY driver reports PLL lock failure and fails phy_init() if dwc3 core has USB2 PHY suspend enabled. 2020-01-27arm64: dts: juno: Fix UART frequencyAndre Przywara1-2/+2
[ Upstream commit 39a1a8941b27c37f79508426e27a2ec29829d66c ] Older versions of the Juno *SoC* TRM [1] recommended that the UART clock source should be 7.2738 MHz, whereas the *system* TRM [2] stated a more correct value of 7.3728 MHz. Somehow the wrong value managed to end up in our DT. Doing a prime factorisation, a modulo divide by 115200 and trying to buy a 7.2738 MHz crystal at your favourite electronics dealer suggest that the old value was actually a typo. The actual UART clock is driven by a PLL, configured via a parameter in some board.txt file in the firmware, which reads 7.37 MHz (sic!). Fix this to correct the baud rate divisor calculation on the Juno board. 2020-01-23Revert "arm64: dts: juno: add dma-ranges property"Sudeep Holla1-1/+0
commit 54fb3fe0f211d4729a2551cf9497bd612189af9d upstream. This reverts commit 193d00a2b35ee3353813b4006a18131122087205. Commit 951d48855d86 ("of: Make of_dma_get_range() work on bus nodes") reworked the logic such that of_dma_get_range() works correctly starting from a bus node containing "dma-ranges". Since on Juno we don't have a SoC level bus node and "dma-ranges" is present only in the root node, we get the following error: OF: translation of DMA address(0) to CPU address failed node(/sram@2e000000) OF: translation of DMA address(0) to CPU address failed node(/uart@7ff80000) ... OF: translation of DMA address(0) to CPU address failed node(/mhu@2b1f0000) OF: translation of DMA address(0) to CPU address failed node(/iommu@2b600000) OF: translation of DMA address(0) to CPU address failed node(/iommu@2b600000) OF: translation of DMA address(0) to CPU address failed node(/iommu@2b600000) So let's fix it by dropping the "dma-ranges" property for now. This should be fine since it doesn't represent any kind of device-visible restriction; it was only there for completeness, and we've since given in to the assumption that missing "dma-ranges" implies a 1:1 mapping anyway. We can add it later with a proper SoC bus node and moving all the devices that belong there along with the "dma-ranges" if required. 2019-12-17arm64: tegra: Fix 'active-low' warning for Jetson TX1 regulatorJon Hunter1-1/+1
commit 1e5e929c009559bd7e898ac8e17a5d01037cb057 upstream. Commit 34993594181d ("arm64: tegra: Enable HDMI on Jetson TX1") added a regulator for HDMI on the Jetson TX1 platform. This regulator has an active high enable, but the GPIO specifier for enabling the regulator incorrectly defines it as active-low. This causes the following warning to occur on boot ... WARNING KERN regulator@10 GPIO handle specifies active low - ignored The fixed-regulator binding does not use the active-low flag from the gpio specifier and purely relies of the presence of the 'enable-active-high' property to determine if it is active high or low (if this property is omitted). Fix this warning by setting the GPIO to active-high in the GPIO specifier which aligns with the presense of the 'enable-active-high' property. 2019-11-20arm64: dts: rockchip: Fix microSD in rk3399 sapphire boardVicente Bergas1-1/+23
[ Upstream commit 88a20edf76091ee7f1bb459b89d714d53f0f8940 ] The microSD card slot in the Sapphire board is not working because of several issues: 1.- The vmmc power supply is missing in the DTS. It is capable of 3.0V and has a GPIO-based enable control. 2.- The vqmmc power supply can provide up to 3.3V, but it is capped in the DTS to just 3.0V because of the vmmc capability. This results in a conflict from the mmc driver requesting an unsupportable voltage range from 3.3V to 3.0V (min > max) as reported in dmesg. So, extend the range up to 3.3V. The hw should be able to stand this 0.3V tolerance. See mmc_regulator_set_vqmmc in drivers/mmc/core/core.c. 3.- The card detect signal is non-working. There is a known conflict with jtag, but the workaround in drivers/soc/rockchip/grf.c does not work. Adding the broken-cd attribute to the DTS fixes the issue. The GPU regulator enable ramp delay for Jetson TX1 is set to 1ms which not sufficient because the enable ramp delay has been measured to be greater than 1ms. Furthermore, the downstream kernels released by NVIDIA for Jetson TX1 are using a enable ramp delay 2ms and a settling delay of 160us. Update the GPU regulator enable ramp delay for Jetson TX1 to be 2ms and add a settling delay of 160us. 2019-05-16arm64: dts: marvell: armada-ap806: reserve PSCI areaHeinrich Schuchardt1-0/+17
[ Upstream commit 132ac39cffbcfed80ada38ef0fc6d34d95da7be6 ] The memory area [0x4000000-0x4200000[ is occupied by the PSCI firmware. Any attempt to access it from Linux leads to an immediate crash. So let's make the same memory reservation as the vendor kernel. 2019-04-17arm64: dts: rockchip: fix vcc_host1_5v pin assign on rk3328-rock64Katsuhiro Suzuki1-2/+2
commit ef05bcb60c1a8841e38c91923ba998181117a87c upstream. This patch fixes pin assign of vcc_host1_5v. This regulator is controlled by USB20_HOST_DRV signal. ROCK64 schematic says that GPIO0_A2 pin is used as USB20_HOST_DRV. GPIO0_D3 pin is for SPDIF_TX_M0. 2019-04-17arm64: dts: rockchip: fix rk3328 rgmii high tx error ratePeter Geis1-22/+22
commit 6fd8b9780ec1a49ac46e0aaf8775247205e66231 upstream. Several rk3328 based boards experience high rgmii tx error rates. This is due to several pins in the rk3328.dtsi rgmii pinmux that are missing a defined pull strength setting. This causes the pinmux driver to default to 2ma (bit mask 00). These pins are only defined in the rk3328.dtsi, and are not listed in the rk3328 specification. The TRM only lists them as "Reserved" (RK3328 TRM V1.1, 3.3.3 Detail Register Description, GRF_GPIO0B_IOMUX, GRF_GPIO0C_IOMUX, GRF_GPIO0D_IOMUX). However, removal of these pins from the rgmii pinmux definition causes the interface to fail to transmit. Also, the rgmii tx and rx pins defined in the dtsi are not consistent with the rk3328 specification, with tx pins currently set to 12ma and rx pins set to 2ma. Fix this by setting tx pins to 8ma and the rx pins to 4ma, consistent with the specification. Defining the drive strength for the undefined pins eliminated the high tx packet error rate observed under heavy data transfers. Aligning the drive strength to the TRM values eliminated the occasional packet retry errors under iperf3 testing. This allows much higher data rates with no recorded tx errors. Tested on the rk3328-roc-cc board. 2019-04-17arm64: dts: rockchip: fix rk3328 sdmmc0 write errorsPeter Geis1-7/+7
commit 09f91381fa5de1d44bc323d8bf345f5d57b3d9b5 upstream. Various rk3328 based boards experience occasional sdmmc0 write errors. This is due to the rk3328.dtsi tx drive levels being set to 4ma, vs 8ma per the rk3328 datasheet default settings. Fix this by setting the tx signal pins to 8ma. Inspiration from tonymac32's patch, https://github.com/ayufan-rock64/linux-kernel/commit/dc1212b347e0da17c5460bcc0a56b07d02bac3f8 Fixes issues on the rk3328-roc-cc and the rk3328-rock64 (as per the above commit message). 2019-03-14arm64: dts: hikey: Give wifi some time after power-onJan Kiszka1-0/+1
commit 83b944174ad79825ae84a47af1a0354485b24602 upstream. Somewhere along recent changes to power control of the wl1835, power-on became very unreliable on the hikey, failing like this: wl1271_sdio: probe of mmc2:0001:1 failed with error -16 wl1271_sdio: probe of mmc2:0001:2 failed with error -16 After playing with some dt parameters and comparing to other users of this chip, it turned out we need some power-on delay to make things stable again. In contrast to those other users which define 200 ms, the hikey would already be happy with 1 ms. Still, we use the safer 10 ms, like on the Ultra96. 2019-03-14arm64: dts: add msm8996 compatible to gicv3Srinivas Kandagatla1-1/+1
[ Upstream commit 2a81efb0de0e33f2d2c83154af0bd3ce389b3269 ] Add compatible to gicv3 node to enable quirk required to restrict writing to GICR_WAKER register which is restricted on msm8996 SoC in Hypervisor.
