2024-04-08RISC-V: KVM: Implement kvm_arch_vcpu_ioctl_set_guest_debug()Chao Du1-0/+1
kvm_vm_ioctl_check_extension(): Return 1 if KVM_CAP_SET_GUEST_DEBUG is been checked. kvm_arch_vcpu_ioctl_set_guest_debug(): Update the guest_debug flags from userspace accordingly. Route the breakpoint exceptions to HS mode if the VCPU is being debugged by userspace, by clearing the corresponding bit in hedeleg. Initialize the hedeleg configuration in kvm_riscv_vcpu_setup_config(). Write the actual CSR in kvm_arch_vcpu_load(). 2023-12-01KVM: move KVM_CAP_DEVICE_CTRL to the generic checkWei Wang1-1/+0
KVM_CAP_DEVICE_CTRL allows userspace to check if the kvm_device framework (e.g. KVM_CREATE_DEVICE) is supported by KVM. Move KVM_CAP_DEVICE_CTRL to the generic check for the two reasons: 1) it already supports arch agnostic usages (i.e. KVM_DEV_TYPE_VFIO). For example, userspace VFIO implementation may needs to create KVM_DEV_TYPE_VFIO on x86, riscv, or arm etc. It is simpler to have it checked at the generic code than at each arch's code. 2) KVM_CREATE_DEVICE has been added to the generic code. 2022-05-20RISC-V: KVM: Use G-stage name for hypervisor page tableAnup Patel1-4/+4
The two-stage address translation defined by the RISC-V privileged specification defines: VS-stage (guest virtual address to guest physical address) programmed by the Guest OS and G-stage (guest physical addree to host physical address) programmed by the hypervisor. To align with above terminology, we replace "stage2" with "gstage" and "Stage2" with "G-stage" name everywhere in KVM RISC-V sources. 2022-01-06RISC-V: KVM: Add VM capability to allow userspace get GPA bitsAnup Patel1-0/+3
The number of GPA bits supported for a RISC-V Guest/VM is based on the MMU mode used by the G-stage translation. The KVM RISC-V will detect and use the best possible MMU mode for the G-stage in kvm_arch_init(). We add a generic VM capability KVM_CAP_VM_GPA_BITS which can be used by the KVM userspace to get the number of GPA (guest physical address) bits supported for a Guest/VM. 2021-12-08KVM: Move wiping of the kvm->vcpus array to common codeMarc Zyngier1-9/+1
All architectures have similar loops iterating over the vcpus, freeing one vcpu at a time, and eventually wiping the reference off the vcpus array. They are also inconsistently taking the kvm->lock mutex when wiping the references from the array. Make this code common, which will simplify further changes. The locking is dropped altogether, as this should only be called when there is no further references on the kvm structure. 2021-10-04RISC-V: KVM: Add timer functionalityAtish Patra1-1/+1
The RISC-V hypervisor specification doesn't have any virtual timer feature. Due to this, the guest VCPU timer will be programmed via SBI calls. The host will use a separate hrtimer event for each guest VCPU to provide timer functionality. We inject a virtual timer interrupt to the guest VCPU whenever the guest VCPU hrtimer event expires. This patch adds guest VCPU timer implementation along with ONE_REG interface to access VCPU timer state from user space. 2021-10-04RISC-V: KVM: Handle MMIO exits for VCPUAnup Patel1-0/+1
We will get stage2 page faults whenever Guest/VM access SW emulated MMIO device or unmapped Guest RAM. This patch implements MMIO read/write emulation by extracting MMIO details from the trapped load/store instruction and forwarding the MMIO read/write to user-space. The actual MMIO emulation will happen in user-space and KVM kernel module will only take care of register updates before resuming the trapped VCPU. The handling for stage2 page faults for unmapped Guest RAM will be implemeted by a separate patch later.
