2015-07-29sh/intc: Prepare irq flow handlers for irq argument removalThomas Gleixner1-1/+2
The irq argument of most interrupt flow handlers is unused or merily used instead of a local variable. The handlers which need the irq argument can retrieve the irq number from the irq descriptor. Search and update was done with coccinelle and the invaluable help of Julia Lawall. A couple files show a larger negative diffstat, representing ones that had a module_exit function that we remove here vs previously relying on the linker to dispose of it. We make this conversion now, so that we can relocate module_init from init.h into module.h in the future. 2015-06-16sh: don't use module_init in non-modular psw.c codePaul Gortmaker1-1/+1
The psw.o is built for obj-y -- and hence this code is always present. It will never be modular, so using module_init as an alias for __initcall can be somewhat misleading. Fix this up now, so that we can relocate module_init from init.h into module.h in the future. If we don't do this, we'd have to add module.h to obviously non-modular code, and that would be a worse thing. Note that direct use of __initcall is discouraged, vs. one of the priority categorized subgroups. As __initcall gets mapped onto device_initcall, our use of device_initcall directly in this change means that the runtime impact is zero -- it will remain at level 6 in initcall ordering. This file is controlled by a tristate Kconfig option, and hence needs to include module.h so that it can get module_init() once we relocate it from init.h into module.h in the future. Note that module_exit() appears to be missing from the driver, so it is questionable whether it would actually work for a removal and reload cycle if it was configured for a modular build. 2014-04-08Kconfig: rename HAS_IOPORT to HAS_IOPORT_MAPUwe Kleine-König1-4/+4
If the renamed symbol is defined lib/iomap.c implements ioport_map and ioport_unmap and currently (nearly) all platforms define the port accessor functions outb/inb and friend unconditionally. So HAS_IOPORT_MAP is the better name for this. Consequently NO_IOPORT is renamed to NO_IOPORT_MAP. The motivation for this change is to reintroduce a symbol HAS_IOPORT that signals if outb/int et al are available. I will address that at least one merge window later though to keep surprises to a minimum and catch new introductions of (HAS|NO)_IOPORT. The MMCIF and SHDI platform data .set_pwr() callbacks are used to control the vmmc/vqmmc power supplies. The Ether platform data is behind the declaration of 'struct sh_eth_plat_data' as it's lacking the initializers for the 'register_type' and 'phy_interface' fields -- it means they'll be implicitly and wrongly set to SH_ETH_REG_GIGABIT and PHY_INTERFACE_MODE_NA. 2013-01-14ASoC: simple-card: add asoc_simple_dai for initializingKuninori Morimoto2-21/+19
Current simple-card driver calls asoc_simple_card_dai_init() if platform had a asoc_simple_card_dai_init pointer. And, this initialization function works only when platform has an applicable initial value for each dai settings. And basically, almost all sound card requires certain initialization. This means that almost all platform has initialization settings, and driver do nothing if it doesn't have settings. And additionally, current simple-card supports sysclk settings but it was only for codec. In order to abolish deviation between cpu and codec, and in order to simplify processing, this patch adds asoc_simple_dai, and removed pointless struct asoc_simple_dai_init_info which was trigger of calling asoc_simple_card_dai_init().
