2023-12-06ACPI: processor: reduce CPUFREQ thermal reduction pctg for Tegra241Srikar Srimath Tirumala1-0/+1
Current implementation of processor_thermal performs software throttling in fixed steps of "20%" which can be too coarse for some platforms. We observed some performance gain after reducing the throttle percentage. Change the CPUFREQ thermal reduction percentage and maximum thermal steps to be configurable. Also, update the default values of both for Nvidia Tegra241 (Grace) SoC. The thermal reduction percentage is reduced to "5%" and accordingly the maximum number of thermal steps are increased as they are derived from the reduction percentage. 2023-08-01ACPI: Move AMBA bus scan handling into arm64 specific directorySudeep Holla1-0/+1
Commit fcea0ccf4fd7 ("ACPI: bus: Consolidate all arm specific initialisation into acpi_arm_init()") moved all of the ARM-specific initialization into acpi_arm_init(). However, acpi_amba.c being outside of drivers/acpi/arm64 got ignored and hence acpi_amba_init() was not moved into acpi_arm_init(). 2022-11-07ACPI: ARM Performance Monitoring Unit Table (APMT) initial supportBesar Wicaksono1-0/+1
ARM Performance Monitoring Unit Table describes the properties of PMU support in ARM-based system. The APMT table contains a list of nodes, each represents a PMU in the system that conforms to ARM CoreSight PMU architecture. The properties of each node include information required to access the PMU (e.g. MMIO base address, interrupt number) and also identification. For more detailed information, please refer to the specification below: * APMT: https://developer.arm.com/documentation/den0117/latest * ARM Coresight PMU: https://developer.arm.com/documentation/ihi0091/latest The initial support adds the detection of APMT table and generic infrastructure to create platform devices for ARM CoreSight PMUs. Similar to IORT the root pointer of APMT is preserved during runtime and each PMU platform device is given a pointer to the corresponding APMT node. 2021-06-25ACPI: arm64: Move DMA setup operations out of IORTJean-Philippe Brucker1-0/+1
Extract generic DMA setup code out of IORT, so it can be reused by VIOT. Keep it in drivers/acpi/arm64 for now, since it could break x86 platforms that haven't run this code so far, if they have invalid tables. 2017-04-19acpi/arm64: Add GTDT table parse driverFu Wei1-0/+1
This patch adds support for parsing arch timer info in GTDT, provides some kernel APIs to parse all the PPIs and always-on info in GTDT and export them. By this driver, we can simplify arm_arch_timer drivers, and separate the ACPI GTDT knowledge from it. 2016-09-12ACPI: I/O Remapping Table (IORT) initial supportTomasz Nowicki1-0/+1
IORT shows representation of IO topology for ARM based systems. It describes how various components are connected together on parent-child basis e.g. PCI RC -> SMMU -> ITS. Also see IORT spec. http://infocenter.arm.com/help/topic/com.arm.doc.den0049b/DEN0049B_IO_Remapping_Table.pdf Initial support allows to detect IORT table presence and save its root pointer obtained through acpi_get_table(). The pointer validity depends on acpi_gbl_permanent_mmap because if acpi_gbl_permanent_mmap is not set while using IORT nodes we would dereference unmapped pointers. For the aforementioned reason call acpi_iort_init() from acpi_init() which guarantees acpi_gbl_permanent_mmap to be set at that point. Add generic helpers which are helpful for scanning and retrieving information from IORT table content. List of the most important helpers: - iort_find_dev_node() finds IORT node for a given device - iort_node_map_rid() maps device RID and returns IORT node which provides final translation IORT support is placed under drivers/acpi/arm64/ new directory due to its ARM64 specific nature. The code there is considered only for ARM64. The long term plan is to keep all ARM64 specific tables support in this place e.g. GTDT table.
