2022-11-23clk: ti: change ti_clk_register[_omap_hw]() APIDario Binacchi1-1/+1
The ti_clk_register() and ti_clk_register_omap_hw() functions are always called with the parameter of type "struct device" set to NULL, since the functions from which they are called always have a parameter of type "struct device_node". Replacing "struct device" type parameter with "struct device_node" will allow you to register a TI clock to the common clock framework by taking advantage of the facilities provided by the "struct device_node" type. Further, adding the "of_" prefix to the name of these functions explicitly binds them to the "struct device_node" type. The patch has been tested on a Beaglebone board. 2022-05-21clk: ti: composite: Prefer kcalloc over open coded arithmeticLen Baker1-1/+1
As noted in the "Deprecated Interfaces, Language Features, Attributes, and Conventions" documentation [1], size calculations (especially multiplication) should not be performed in memory allocator (or similar) function arguments due to the risk of them overflowing. This could lead to values wrapping around and a smaller allocation being made than the caller was expecting. Using those allocations could lead to linear overflows of heap memory and other misbehaviors. So, use the purpose specific kcalloc() function instead of the argument size * count in the kzalloc() function. 2020-05-14clk: ti: composite: fix memory leakTero Kristo1-0/+1

2016-01-29clk: move the common clock's to_clk_*(_hw) macros to clk-provider.hGeliang Tang1-2/+0
to_clk_*(_hw) macros have been repeatedly defined in many places. 2015-04-13clk: don't use __initconst for non-const arraysUwe Kleine-König1-1/+1
The statement static const char *name[]; defines a modifiable array of pointers to constant chars. That is *name[0] = 'f'; is forbidden, but name[0] = "f"; is not. So marking an array that is defined as above with __initconst is wrong. Either an additional const must be added such that the whole definition reads: static const char *const name[] __initconst; or where this is not possible __initdata must be used.
