2019-06-30drm/mga: drop use of drmP.hSam Ravnborg1-2/+0
Drop the use of the deprecated drmP.h header file. Clean up list of include files and sort them. 2019-06-30drm/mga: drop dependency on drm_os_linux.hSam Ravnborg1-3/+3
Opencode all macros used from the deprecated drm_os_linux.h header file. The DRM_WAIT_ON used 3 * HZ as timeout. This was translated to 3000 msec. The return value of mga_driver_fence_wait() was not used, so make it return void to simplify code a bit. v2: - fixed timeout to 3000 msec (original value was 3 * Hz) - drop unused return value from mga_driver_fence_wait() Signed-off-by: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org> Acked-by: Thomas Zimmermann <tzimmermann@suse.de> Cc: Daniel Vetter <daniel@ffwll.ch> Cc: David Airlie <airlied@linux.ie> Link: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/msgid/20190623103542.30697-2-sam@ravnborg.org

2014-06-10drm: Remove DRM_ARRAY_SIZE() for ARRAY_SIZE()Damien Lespiau1-1/+1
I cannot see a need to provide a DRM_ version of ARRAY_SIZE(), only used in a few places. I suspect its usage has been spread by copy & paste rather than anything else. Let's just remove it for plain ARRAY_SIZE(). 2014-04-22drm: remove drm_dev_to_irq from driversDaniel Vetter1-1/+1
Only used in some legacy pci drivers, and dereferencing the PCI irq is actually shorter ... Since this removes all users for drm_dev_to_irq from the tree except in drm_irq.c, move the inline helper in there. It'll disappear soon, too. v2: Polish commit message (Thierry) Reviewed-by: Thierry Reding <treding@nvidia.com> Reviewed-by: Laurent Pinchart <laurent.pinchart@ideasonboard.com> Signed-off-by: Daniel Vetter <daniel.vetter@ffwll.ch>

2012-10-02UAPI: (Scripted) Remove redundant DRM UAPI header #inclusions from drivers/gpu/.David Howells1-1/+0
Remove redundant DRM UAPI header #inclusions from drivers/gpu/. Remove redundant #inclusions of core DRM UAPI headers (drm.h, drm_mode.h and drm_sarea.h). They are now #included via drmP.h and drm_crtc.h via a preceding patch. Without this patch and the patch to make include the UAPI headers from the core headers, after the UAPI split, the DRM C sources cannot find these UAPI headers because the DRM code relies on specific -I flags to make #include "..." work on headers in include/drm/ - but that does not work after the UAPI split without adding more -I flags. 2010-08-17drm: block userspace under allocating buffer and having drivers overwrite it ↵Dave Airlie1-13/+13
(v2) With the current screwed but its ABI, ioctls for the drm, Linus pointed out that we could allow userspace to specify the allocation size, but we pass it to the driver which then uses it blindly to store a struct. Now if userspace specifies the allocation size as smaller than the driver needs, the driver can possibly overwrite memory. This patch restructures the driver ioctls so we store the structure size we are expecting, and make sure we allocate at least that size. The copy from/to userspace are still restricted to the size the user specifies, this allows ioctl structs to grow on both sides of the equation. Up until now we didn't really use the DRM_IOCTL defines in the kernel, so this cleans them up and adds them for nouveau. v2: fix nouveau pushbuf arg (thanks to Ben for pointing it out) Reported-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linuxfoundation.org> Signed-off-by: Dave Airlie <airlied@redhat.com>

2008-10-18drm: kill drm_device->irqJesse Barnes1-1/+1

2008-07-14drm: reorganise drm tree to be more future proof.Dave Airlie1-0/+1104
With the coming of kernel based modesetting and the memory manager stuff, the everything in one directory approach was getting very ugly and starting to be unmanageable. This restructures the drm along the lines of other kernel components. It creates a drivers/gpu/drm directory and moves the hw drivers into subdirectores. It moves the includes into an include/drm, and sets up the unifdef for the userspace headers we should be exporting. Signed-off-by: Dave Airlie <airlied@redhat.com>
