2020-03-18drm: convert .debugfs_init() hook to return void.Wambui Karuga1-4/+2
As a result of commit 987d65d01356 (drm: debugfs: make drm_debugfs_create_files() never fail) and changes to various debugfs functions in drm/core and across various drivers, there is no need for the drm_driver.debugfs_init() hook to have a return value. Therefore, declare it as void. 2019-10-25drm/qxl: stop using TTM to call driver internal functionsChristian König1-2/+2
The ttm_mem_io_* functions were intended to be internal to TTM and shouldn't have been used in a driver. They were exported in commit afe6804c045fbd69a1b75c681107b5d6df9190de just for QXL. Instead call the qxl_ttm_io_mem_reserve() function directly and completely drop the free call since that is a dummy on QXL. 2019-09-11drm/ttm: turn ttm_bo_device.vma_manager into a pointerGerd Hoffmann1-0/+1
Rename the embedded struct vma_offset_manager, new name is _vma_manager. ttm_bo_device.vma_manager changed to a pointer. The ttm_bo_device_init() function gets an additional vma_manager argument which allows to initialize ttm with a different vma manager. When passing NULL the embedded _vma_manager is used. All callers are updated to pass NULL, so the behavior doesn't change. Without that ttm offsets are not unique, they can refer to objects in both VRAM and PRIV memory (aka main and surfaces slot). One of those "why things didn't blow up without this" moments. Probably offset conflicts are rare enough by pure luck. Simply mmap'ing /dev/dri/card0 repeatedly will spam the kernel log with qxl_mmap information messages. Since the mmap'ing returns -EINVAL there is no need for the pr_info message. 2017-01-19drm: qxl: Open code probing sequence for qxlGabriel Krisman Bertazi1-7/+1
This avoids using the deprecated drm_get_pci_dev() and load() hook interfaces in the qxl driver. The only tricky part is to ensure TTM debugfs initialization happens after the debugfs root node is created, which is done by moving that code into the debufs_init() hook.
