Based on an idea from Dave, but cleaned up a bit. We had multiple fields for essentially the same thing. 2019-07-31drm/radeon: Fill out gem_object->resvDaniel Vetter1-0/+1
That way we can ditch our gem_prime_res_obj implementation. Since ttm absolutely needs the right reservation object all the boilerplate is already there and we just have to wire it up correctly. Note that gem/prime doesn't care when we do this, as long as we do it before the bo is registered and someone can call the handle2fd ioctl on it. Aside: ttm_buffer_object.ttm_resv could probably be ditched in favour of always passing a non-NULL resv to ttm_bo_init(). At least for gem drivers that would avoid having two of these, on in ttm_buffer_object and the other in drm_gem_object, one just there for confusion. 2018-08-01drm/radeon: Replace ttm_bo_unref with ttm_bo_putThomas Zimmermann1-3/+2
The function ttm_bo_put releases a reference to a TTM buffer object. The function's name is more aligned to the Linux kernel convention of naming ref-counting function _get and _put. A call to ttm_bo_unref takes the address of the TTM BO object's pointer and clears the pointer's value to NULL. This is not necessary in most cases and sometimes even worked around by the calling code. A call to ttm_bo_put only releases the reference without clearing the pointer. The current behaviour of cleaning the pointer is kept in the calling code, but should be removed if not required in a later patch.
