2019-02-07phy: Move Allwinner A31 D-PHY driver to drivers/phy/Maxime Ripard1-9/+1
Now that our MIPI D-PHY driver has been converted to the phy framework, let's move it into the drivers/phy directory. 2019-02-07sun6i: dsi: Convert to generic phy handlingMaxime Ripard1-1/+10
Now that we have everything in place in the PHY framework to deal in a generic way with MIPI D-PHY phys, let's convert our PHY driver and its associated DSI driver to that new API. 2018-07-12drm/sun4i: fix build failure with CONFIG_DRM_SUN8I_MIXER=mArnd Bergmann1-0/+7
Having DRM_SUN4I built-in but DRM_SUN8I_MIXER as a loadable module results in a link error, as we try to access a symbol from the sun8i_tcon_top.ko module: ERROR: "sun8i_tcon_top_of_table" [drivers/gpu/drm/sun4i/sun8i-drm-hdmi.ko] undefined! ERROR: "sun8i_tcon_top_of_table" [drivers/gpu/drm/sun4i/sun4i-drm.ko] undefined! This solves the problem by adding a silent symbol for the tcon_top module, building it as a separate module in exactly the cases that we need it, but in a way that it is reachable by the other modules. 2018-04-11drm/sun4i: Add Allwinner A31 MIPI-DSI controller supportMaxime Ripard1-0/+10
Most of the Allwinner SoCs since the A31 share the same MIPI-DSI controller. While that controller is mostly undocumented, the code is out there and has been cleaned up in order to be integrated into DRM. However, there's still some dark areas that are a bit unclear about how the block exactly operates. 2018-03-02drm/sun4i: Allow building on arm64Jernej Skrabec1-1/+1
64-bit ARM SoCs from Allwinner have DE2/TCON/HDMI periphery which is compatible to 32-bit SoCs, so allow building DRM driver for arm64 architecture. 2018-02-16drm/sun4i: Implement A83T HDMI driverJernej Skrabec1-0/+9
A83T has DW HDMI IP block with a custom PHY similar to Synopsys gen2 HDMI PHY. Only video output was tested, while HW also supports audio and CEC. Support for them will be added later. 2017-09-22drm/sun4i: cec: Enable back CEC-pin frameworkHans Verkuil1-1/+1
Now that the cec-pin framework has been merged, we can remove the safeguard that were preventing the CEC part of the sun4i HDMI driver and actually start to use it. Signed-off-by: Hans Verkuil <hverkuil@xs4all.nl> Signed-off-by: Maxime Ripard <maxime.ripard@free-electrons.com>
2017-07-18sun4i_hdmi: add CEC supportHans Verkuil1-0/+9
Add HDMI CEC support to the Allwinner A10 SoC. This SoC uses a poor-man's CEC implementation by polling the CEC pin. It is using the CEC_PIN core implementation for such devices to do the heavy lifting. It just provides the callbacks to read/drive the CEC pin. 2017-07-18drm/sun4i: Add if statement instead of depends onMaxime Ripard1-3/+4
The depends on relationship is obvious, and using an if statement will propagate it to every option without the need for each and every one of them to define it. Reviewed-by: Chen-Yu Tsai <wens@csie.org> Signed-off-by: Maxime Ripard <maxime.ripard@free-electrons.com>
2017-06-01drm/sun4i: Add HDMI supportMaxime Ripard1-0/+8
The earlier Allwinner SoCs (A10, A10s, A20, A31) have an embedded HDMI controller. That HDMI controller is able to do audio and CEC, but those have been left out for now. Reviewed-by: Chen-Yu Tsai <wens@csie.org> Signed-off-by: Maxime Ripard <maxime.ripard@free-electrons.com>
2017-06-01drm/sun4i: add support for Allwinner DE2 mixersIcenowy Zheng1-0/+10
Allwinner have a new "Display Engine 2.0" in their new SoCs, which comes with mixers to do graphic processing and feed data to TCON, like the old backends and frontends. Add support for the mixer on Allwinner V3s SoC; it's the simplest one. Currently a lot of functions are still missing -- more investigations are needed to gain enough information for them. 2017-06-01drm/sun4i: add a Kconfig option for sun4i-backendIcenowy Zheng1-0/+10
As sun4i-backend is now a dedicated module, add an Kconfig option for it to make it optional, since some build may only use other engines. Signed-off-by: Icenowy Zheng <icenowy@aosc.io> Signed-off-by: Maxime Ripard <maxime.ripard@free-electrons.com>
2016-05-30drm/sun4i: add COMMON_CLK dependencyArnd Bergmann1-1/+1
The sun4i drm driver uses the clk-provider interfaces, which are not available when CONFIG_COMMON_CLK is disabled: drivers/gpu/drm/sun4i/sun4i_dotclock.c:19:16: error: field 'hw' has incomplete type struct clk_hw hw; In file included from ../include/asm-generic/bug.h:13:0, from ../arch/arm/include/asm/bug.h:59, from ../include/linux/bug.h:4, from ../include/linux/io.h:23, from ../include/linux/clk-provider.h:14, from ../drivers/gpu/drm/sun4i/sun4i_dotclock.c:13: drivers/gpu/drm/sun4i/sun4i_dotclock.c: In function 'hw_to_dclk': include/linux/kernel.h:831:48: error: initialization from incompatible pointer type [-Werror=incompatible-pointer-types] ... This adds a Kconfig dependency to prevent the driver from being enabled in this case. 2016-04-28drm: Add Allwinner A10 Display Engine supportMaxime Ripard1-0/+14
The Allwinner A10 and subsequent SoCs share the same display pipeline, with variations in the number of controllers (1 or 2), or the presence or not of some output (HDMI, TV, VGA) or not.
