2017-11-14Merge branch 'next' into for-linusDmitry Torokhov1-3/+3
Prepare input updates for 4.15 merge window.
2017-11-08Input: tsc200x-core - set INPUT_PROP_DIRECTMartin Kepplinger1-0/+1
If INPUT_PROP_DIRECT is set, userspace doesn't have to fall back to old ways of identifying touchscreen devices. In order to identify a touchscreen device, Android for example, seems to already depend on INPUT_PROP_DIRECT to be present in drivers. udev still checks for either BTN_TOUCH or INPUT_PROP_DIRECT. Checking for BTN_TOUCH however can quite easily lead to false positives; it's a code that not only touchscreen device drivers use. According to the documentation, touchscreen drivers should have this property set and in order to make life easy for userspace, let's set it. 2017-10-24Input: touchsceen - convert timers to use timer_setup()Kees Cook1-3/+3
In preparation for unconditionally passing the struct timer_list pointer to all timer callbacks, switch to using the new timer_setup() and from_timer() to pass the timer pointer explicitly. Signed-off-by: Kees Cook <keescook@chromium.org> Signed-off-by: Dmitry Torokhov <dmitry.torokhov@gmail.com>
2017-02-13Input: tsc2004/5 - switch to using generic device propertiesDmitry Torokhov1-63/+30
Instead of supporting legacy platform data (of which we have no mainline users) and OF-based properties, let's switch to generic device properties. This will still allow legacy boards to use the driver (by defining property sets and attaching them to the drivers) and will simplify probe and make driver usable on ACPI-based systems as well. 2017-02-13Input: tsc2004/5 - fix regulator handlingDmitry Torokhov1-12/+7
In case of an optional regulator missing, regulator core will return ERR_PTR(-ENOENT) and not NULL, so the check for missing regulator is incorrect. Also, the regulator is not optional, it may simply be missing from platform description, so let's use devm_regulator_get() and rely on regulator core to give us dummy supply when real one is not available. 2016-07-26Merge branch 'next' into for-linusDmitry Torokhov1-1/+1
Prepare first round of input updates for 4.8 merge window.
2016-07-21Input: tsc200x - report proper input_dev nameMichael Welling1-3/+12
Passes input_id struct to the common probe function for the tsc200x drivers instead of just the bustype. This allows for the use of the product variable to set the input_dev->name variable according to the type of touchscreen used. Note that when we introduced support for TSC2004 we started calling everything TSC200X, so let's keep this quirk. 2016-07-16Input: of_touchscreen - add support for inverted / swapped axesHans de Goede1-1/+1
Extend touchscreen_parse_properties() with support for the touchscreen-inverted-x/y and touchscreen-swapped-x-y properties and add touchscreen_set_mt_pos() and touchscreen_report_pos() helper functions for storing coordinates into a input_mt_pos struct, or directly reporting them, taking these properties into account. This commit also modifies the existing callers of touchscreen_parse_properties() to pass in NULL for the new third argument, keeping the existing behavior. 2015-11-04Input: tsc200x-core - rename functions and variablesMichael Welling1-100/+100
The functions, variables, and defines of the new tsc200x-core.c are renamed to tsc200x instead of tsc2005 avoid possible confusion. Signed-off-by: Michael Welling <mwelling@ieee.org> Signed-off-by: Dmitry Torokhov <dmitry.torokhov@gmail.com>
2015-11-04Input: tsc2005 - separate SPI and core functionsMichael Welling1-0/+665
This patch separates the SPI functionality from core functionality that overlaps with the tsc2004. Prepares kernel for new tsc2004 driver without much redundant code. Signed-off-by: Michael Welling <mwelling@ieee.org> Signed-off-by: Dmitry Torokhov <dmitry.torokhov@gmail.com>
