2020-12-02media: smiapp: Internal rename to CCSSakari Ailus1-280/+0
Rename internal names to reflect the driver's new reference. The module name remains the same. Also fix trivial coding style issues on the way related to e.g. alignment changes due to the rename. Signed-off-by: Sakari Ailus <sakari.ailus@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab+huawei@kernel.org>
2020-12-02media: smiapp: Use CCS registersSakari Ailus1-1/+3
Switch to CCS standard registers where they exist. The still relevant SMIA registers are left as-is and the redundant ones are removed. Signed-off-by: Sakari Ailus <sakari.ailus@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab+huawei@kernel.org>
2020-12-02media: smiapp: Switch to CCS limitsSakari Ailus1-10/+0
Use the CCS limit definitions instead of the SMIA ones. This allows accessing CCS capabilities where needed as well as dropping the old SMIA limits. Signed-off-by: Sakari Ailus <sakari.ailus@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab+huawei@kernel.org>
2020-12-02media: smiapp: Read CCS limit valuesSakari Ailus1-0/+4
Read limit and capability values into a driver allocated buffer. This will later replace (most of) the existing SMIA limits. Signed-off-by: Sakari Ailus <sakari.ailus@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab+huawei@kernel.org>
2020-12-02media: smiapp: Use MIPI CCS version and manufacturer ID informationSakari Ailus1-8/+12
Read MIPI CCS manufacturer and version information, and use the CCS IDs over SMIA whenever they are set. Signed-off-by: Sakari Ailus <sakari.ailus@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab+huawei@kernel.org>
2020-12-02media: smiapp: Remove macros for defining registers, merge definitionsSakari Ailus1-1/+1
Remove macros for defining new SMIA registers, instead put the register flags to the register definition itself. Also move the register flags to the same file. This is not expected to be updated but rather left there as a reference. Signed-off-by: Sakari Ailus <sakari.ailus@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab+huawei@kernel.org>
2020-02-27media: smiapp: Move definitions under driver directorySakari Ailus1-1/+43
include/media/i2c/smiapp.h was meant to serve systems where the sensor is enumerated through platform data. That's no longer necessary, hopefully not even in out-of-tree use cases. Move the definitions to the appropriate headers. Signed-off-by: Sakari Ailus <sakari.ailus@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab+samsung@kernel.org>
2020-01-03media: smiapp: Avoid maintaining power state informationSakari Ailus1-1/+0
Instead of keeping track of the power state ourselves, let runtime PM handle it. This also splits handling controls between side effect management and writing the new configuration to the sensor's registers. 2019-10-25media: smiapp: Support probing NVM sizeSakari Ailus1-3/+0
The interface supports probing for the NVM size but this was not implemented in the driver. Do that now. This will also make nokia,nvm-size property redundant. Signed-off-by: Sakari Ailus <sakari.ailus@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab+samsung@kernel.org>

2017-10-24media: smiapp: Rely on runtime PMSakari Ailus1-0/+1
Instead of relying on a mix of runtime PM and the s_power() callback, drop the s_power() callback altogether and use runtime PM solely. As device access is required during device power-on and power-off sequences, runtime PM alone cannot tell whether the device is available. Thus the "active" field is introduced in struct smiapp_sensor to tell whether it is safe to write to the device. Consequently there is no need to power on the device whenever a file handle is open. This functionality is removed as well. The user may still control the device power management through sysfs. Autosuspend remains enabled, with 1 s delay. 2016-10-21[media] smiapp: Use runtime PMSakari Ailus1-10/+1
Switch to runtime PM in sensor power management. The internal power count is thus removed. Signed-off-by: Sakari Ailus <sakari.ailus@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@s-opensource.com>
2016-10-21[media] smiapp: Obtain frame layout from the frame descriptorSakari Ailus1-1/+4
Besides the image data, SMIA++ compliant sensors also provide embedded data in form of registers used to capture the image. Store this information for later use in frame descriptor and routing. 2015-11-17[media] include/media: split I2C headers from V4L2 coreMauro Carvalho Chehab1-1/+1
Currently, include/media is messy, as it contains both the V4L2 core headers and some driver-specific headers on the same place. That makes harder to identify what core headers should be documented and what headers belong to I2C drivers that are included only by bridge/main drivers that would require the functions provided by them. Let's move those i2c specific files to its own subdirectory. The files to move were produced via the following script: mkdir include/media/i2c (cd include/media; for i in *.h; do n=`echo $i|sed s/.h$/.c/`; if [ -e ../../drivers/media/i2c/$n ]; then echo $i; git mv $i i2c/; fi; done) (cd include/media; for i in *.h; do n=`echo $i|sed s/.h$/.c/`; if [ -e ../../drivers/media/*/i2c/$n ]; then echo $i; git mv $i i2c/; fi; done) for i in include/media/*.h; do n=`basename $i`; (for j in $(git grep -l $n); do dirname $j; done)|sort|uniq|grep -ve '^.$' > list; num=$(wc -l list|cut -d' ' -f1); if [ $num == 1 ]; then if [ "`grep i2c list`" != "" ]; then git mv $i include/media/i2c; fi; fi; done And the references corrected via this script: MAIN_DIR="media/" PREV_DIR="media/" DIRS="i2c/" echo "Checking affected files" >&2 for i in $DIRS; do for j in $(find include/$MAIN_DIR/$i -type f -name '*.h'); do n=`basename $j` git grep -l $n done done|sort|uniq >files && ( echo "Handling files..." >&2; echo "for i in \$(cat files|grep -v Documentation); do cat \$i | \\"; ( cd include/$MAIN_DIR; for j in $DIRS; do for i in $(ls $j); do echo "perl -ne 's,(include [\\\"\\<])$PREV_DIR($i)([\\\"\\>]),\1$MAIN_DIR$j\2\3,; print \$_' |\\"; done; done; echo "cat > a && mv a \$i; done"; ); echo "Handling documentation..." >&2; echo "for i in MAINTAINERS \$(cat files); do cat \$i | \\"; ( cd include/$MAIN_DIR; for j in $DIRS; do for i in $(ls $j); do echo " perl -ne 's,include/$PREV_DIR($i)\b,include/$MAIN_DIR$j\1,; print \$_' |\\"; done; done; echo "cat > a && mv a \$i; done" ); ) >script && . ./script Merged Sakari Ailus patch that moves smiapp.h to include/media/i2c.
