2024-09-06net: dsa: microchip: replace unclear KSZ8830 stringsPieter Van Trappen1-2/+2
Replace ksz8830 with ksz88x3 for CHIP_ID definition and other strings. This due to KSZ8830 not being an actual switch but the Chip ID shared among KSZ8863/8873 switches, impossible to differentiate from their Chip ID or Revision ID registers. Now all KSZ*_CHIP_ID macros refer to actual, existing switches which removes confusion. 2023-07-27net: dsa: Explicitly include correct DT includesRob Herring1-0/+3
The DT of_device.h and of_platform.h date back to the separate of_platform_bus_type before it as merged into the regular platform bus. As part of that merge prepping Arm DT support 13 years ago, they "temporarily" include each other. They also include platform_device.h and of.h. As a result, there's a pretty much random mix of those include files used throughout the tree. In order to detangle these headers and replace the implicit includes with struct declarations, users need to explicitly include the correct includes. 2023-05-30net: dsa: microchip: add an enum for regmap widthsVladimir Oltean1-1/+1
It is not immediately obvious that this driver allocates, via the KSZ_REGMAP_TABLE() macro, 3 regmaps for register access: dev->regmap[0] for 8-bit access, dev->regmap[1] for 16-bit and dev->regmap[2] for 32-bit access. In future changes that add support for reg_fields, each field will have to specify through which of the 3 regmaps it's going to go. Add an enum now, to denote one of the 3 register access widths, and make the code go through some wrapper functions for easier review and further modification. 2023-03-25net: dsa: microchip: ksz8863_smi: fix bulk accessOleksij Rempel1-9/+0
Current regmap bulk access is broken, resulting to wrong reads/writes if ksz_read64/ksz_write64 functions are used. Mostly this issue was visible by using ksz8_fdb_dump(), which returned corrupt MAC address. The reason is that regmap was configured to have max_raw_read/write, even if ksz8863_mdio_read/write functions are able to handle unlimited read/write accesses. On ksz_read64 function we are using multiple 32bit accesses by incrementing each access by 1 instead of 4. Resulting buffer had 01234567.12345678 instead of 01234567.89abcdef. We have multiple ways to fix it: - enable 4 byte alignment for 32bit accesses. Since the HW do not have this requirement. It will break driver. - disable max_raw_* limit. This patch is removing max_raw_* limit for regmap accesses in ksz8863_smi. 2022-05-18net: dsa: microchip: perform the compatibility check for dev probedArun Ramadoss1-2/+8
This patch perform the compatibility check for the device after the chip detect is done. It is to prevent the mismatch between the device compatible specified in the device tree and actual device found during the detect. The ksz9477 device doesn't use any .data in the of_device_id. But the ksz8795_spi uses .data for assigning the regmap between 8830 family and 87xx family switch. Changed the regmap assignment based on the chip_id from the .data. 2021-09-19net: dsa: microchip: ksz8863: be compatible with masters which unregister on ↵Vladimir Oltean1-0/+13
shutdown Since commit 2f1e8ea726e9 ("net: dsa: link interfaces with the DSA master to get rid of lockdep warnings"), DSA gained a requirement which it did not fulfill, which is to unlink itself from the DSA master at shutdown time. Since the Microchip sub-driver for KSZ8863 was introduced after the bad commit, it has never worked with DSA masters which decide to unregister their net_device on shutdown, effectively hanging the reboot process. To fix that, we need to call dsa_switch_shutdown. Since this driver expects the MDIO bus to be backed by mdio_bitbang, I don't think there is currently any MDIO bus driver which implements its ->shutdown by redirecting it to ->remove, but in any case, to be compatible with that pattern, it is necessary to implement an "if this then not that" scheme, to avoid ->remove and ->shutdown from being called both for the same struct device.
