This patch add support for tdls channel switch event process. We block TX queues for particular RA list depending upon channel switch state. If channel switch state is moving to base channel, we unblock RA lists for AP. If channel switch state is moving to off channel, we unblock TDLS peer RA lists. 2015-05-26cfg80211: properly send NL80211_ATTR_DISCONNECTED_BY_AP in disconnectJohannes Berg1-1/+1
When we disconnect from the AP, drivers call cfg80211_disconnect(). This doesn't know whether the disconnection was initiated locally or by the AP though, which can cause problems with the supplicant, for example with WPS. This issue obviously doesn't show up with any mac80211 based driver since mac80211 doesn't call this function. Fix this by requiring drivers to indicate whether the disconnect is locally generated or not. I've tried to update the drivers, but may not have gotten the values correct, and some drivers may currently not be able to report correct values. In case of doubt I left it at false, which is the current behaviour. For libertas, make adjustments as indicated by Dan Williams. wdev is used even after del_virtual_interface handler in cfg80211 in nl80211_post_doit. Since we have freed wdev in handling of del_virtual_intf, this can result into crash while deleting interface. 2014-11-17mwifiex: add auto TDLS supportAvinash Patil1-1/+5
This patch adds auto TDLS support to mwifiex. Auto TDLS functionality works as follows: 1. Whenever userspace application has triggered TDLS connection with any peer, driver would store this peer mac address details in its database. 2. After this driver whenever driver receives packet on direct link, it would store rssi and timestamp in peer information. 3. Whenever a packet is to be transmitted to non-AP peer in station mode, driver would check if TDLS link can be established by looking at peer RSSI information. Driver would initiate TDLS setup in such cases. 4. Periodic timer is used for updating peer information. 5. Auto TDLS peer list & timer are cleared during disconnection or driver unload. If userspace application does not take care of TDLS teardown event, TDLS link would be present in driver database and thus driver would send such packets on direct link while peer has already severed link causing data traffic failure. There is a race condition while queuing synchronous command and asynchronous command requested from different threads, because the wait_q_enabled flag is set based on a global variable cmd_wait_q_required. The issue is fixed by removing this global variable and using a unified function with an argument 'sync' passed into the function. In extended scan, host gets scan results through one or multiple events instead of scan command response. Host will send next scan command when all the events are received. Legacy scan sometimes truncates scan results in a noisy environment due to buffer length limitation. This issue is addressed in extended scan. 2012-11-26cfg80211: remove remain-on-channel channel typeJohannes Berg1-1/+0
As mwifiex (and mac80211 in the software case) are the only drivers actually implementing remain-on-channel with channel type, userspace can't be relying on it. This is the case, as it's used only for P2P operations right now. Rather than adding a flag to tell userspace whether or not it can actually rely on it, simplify all the code by removing the ability to use different channel types. Leave only the validation of the attribute, so that if we extend it again later (with the needed capability flag), it can't break userspace sending invalid data. 2012-11-14mwifiex: add multi-queue supportAvinash Patil1-6/+3
This patch adds support for multiple TX queues inside mwifiex driver. Four different queues according to WMM access categories are defined for each virtual interface. When a packet is received from netdev for transmission, tx pending count for particular queue is incremented and if tx pending count has reached upper water-mark, this queue is stopped instead of stopping all queues. Similarly when a packet is successfully transmitted from device, tx pending count is decremented per queue and if pending count falls below lower water-mark, queue operations are again resumed. This ensures that not all tranmission is blocked if traffic with particular TOS value suddenly increases. Also wake all queues after association/IBSS_join/uAP_BSS_start to enable traffic on all queues. 2012-10-08mwifiex: update cfg80211 with correct reason code when connection is lostAmitkumar Karwar1-11/+20
Driver gets LINK_LOST, DEAUTHENTICATED and DISASSOCIATED events from firmware when connection is lost in different scenarios. Currently we are using common code WLAN_REASON_DEAUTH_LEAVING for these cases. This patch adds support to parse an actual reason code from firmware event body and send it to cfg80211. 2012-06-22mwifiex: fix bugs in event handling codeAmitkumar Karwar1-5/+4
This patch ensures uniformity in event skb sent by interface code (USB/PCIe/SDIO) which automatically fixes following bugs. 1) For USB interface, same buffer is reused for receiving cmd and events from firmware. While handling events, we perform skb_pull(skb, 4) to remove event header. Corresponding skb_push() call is missing while submitting the buffer. 2) For PCIe interface, event skb is passed with event header. Recently added uAP events EVENT_UAP_STA_ASSOC, EVENT_UAP_STA_DEAUTH will not work for PCIe, as they assume event skb points to event body. Adding casts of objects to the same type is unnecessary and confusing for a human reader. For example, this cast: int y; int *p = (int *)&y; I used the coccinelle script below to find and remove these unnecessary casts. I manually removed the conversions this script produces of casts with __force, __iomem and __user. @@ type T; T *p; @@ - (T *)p + p Neatened the mwifiex_deauthenticate_infra function which was doing odd things with array pointers and not using is_zero_ether_addr. 2012-05-16mwifiex: add AP event handling frameworkAvinash Patil1-1/+50
Added logic to handle AP event that are generated by the firmware. As MLME/SME is implemented in the firmware, events such as station association and deauthentication, must be sent to userspace (hostapd) for creating and deleting station database. 2012-04-10mwifiex: add set_cqm_rssi_config handler supportAmitkumar Karwar1-0/+12
In this handler LOW_RSSI and HIGH_RSSI events are subscribed to FW using provided threshold value so that FW will monitor connection quality and trigger any of these events. Driver will notify cfg80211 about connection quality based on inputs from FW and provided hysteresis.
