2013-12-07ACPI: Clean up inclusions of ACPI header filesLv Zheng1-1/+0
Replace direct inclusions of <acpi/acpi.h>, <acpi/acpi_bus.h> and <acpi/acpi_drivers.h>, which are incorrect, with <linux/acpi.h> inclusions and remove some inclusions of those files that aren't necessary. First of all, <acpi/acpi.h>, <acpi/acpi_bus.h> and <acpi/acpi_drivers.h> should not be included directly from any files that are built for CONFIG_ACPI unset, because that generally leads to build warnings about undefined symbols in !CONFIG_ACPI builds. For CONFIG_ACPI set, <linux/acpi.h> includes those files and for CONFIG_ACPI unset it provides stub ACPI symbols to be used in that case. Second, there are ordering dependencies between those files that always have to be met. Namely, it is required that <acpi/acpi_bus.h> be included prior to <acpi/acpi_drivers.h> so that the acpi_pci_root declarations the latter depends on are always there. And <acpi/acpi.h> which provides basic ACPICA type declarations should always be included prior to any other ACPI headers in CONFIG_ACPI builds. That also is taken care of including <linux/acpi.h> as appropriate. 2013-05-09dell: add new dell WMI format for the AIO machinesAceLan Kao1-5/+48
There is a new DELL WMI spec. with new WMI event format. I'm working on the AIO machines, but I think the new format will apply to all the Dell's machines, not only for AIO, which will be released later this year. The new format of the WMI buffer is shown as below word 0 - the number of words following in the WMI buffer(not including this word. word 1 - the event type 0x0000 - A hot key is pressed or an event occurred 0x000F - A sequence of hot keys are pressed word 2 and on - the event data Signed-off-by: AceLan Kao <acelan.kao@canonical.com> Signed-off-by: Matthew Garrett <matthew.garrett@nebula.com>

2011-03-28Enable Dell All-In-One volume up/down keysColin Ian King1-0/+171
Enable volume up and down hotkeys on WMI events GUID 284A0E6B-380E-472A-921F-E52786257FB4 and GUID 02314822-307C-4F66-bf0E-48AEAEB26CC8. Also works around a firmware bug where the _WED method should return an integer containing the key code and in fact the method returns the key code in element zero of a buffer.
