2023-10-15staging: rts5208: Remove macros scsi_lock(), scsi_unlock()Soumya Negi2-19/+12
The scsi_lock() and scsi_unlock() macros protect the sm_state and the single queue element srb for write access in the driver. As suggested, these names are very generic. Remove the macros from header file and call spin_lock_irq() & spin_unlock_irq() directly instead. 2023-10-15staging: rts5208: Refactor macros to static inline functionsSoumya Negi1-19/+40
Driver rts5208 uses macros to read/write data & to perform generic PCI functions. Rewrite these macros as static inline functions in the header file. Once again, we removed more code than was added, a nice trend. 2022-04-04staging: rts5208: Convert kmap() to kmap_local_page()Fabio M. De Francesco1-7/+5
The use of kmap() is being deprecated in favor of kmap_local_page() where it is feasible. With kmap_local_page(), the mapping is per thread, CPU local and not globally visible. Therefore rtsx_stor_access_xfer_buf() is a function where the use of kmap_local_page() in place of kmap() is correctly suited. Convert to kmap_local_page() but, instead of open coding it, use the helpers memcpy_to_page() and memcpy_from_page(). Make a minor change to a comment related to scatter-gather. 2021-12-13exit: Rename complete_and_exit to kthread_complete_and_exitEric W. Biederman1-8/+8
Update complete_and_exit to call kthread_exit instead of do_exit. Change the name to reflect this change in functionality. All of the users of complete_and_exit are causing the current kthread to exit so this change makes it clear what is happening. Move the implementation of kthread_complete_and_exit from kernel/exit.c to to kernel/kthread.c. As this function is kthread specific it makes most sense to live with the kthread functions. There are no functional change. Signed-off-by: "Eric W. Biederman" <ebiederm@xmission.com>

2021-10-17scsi: core: Remove the 'done' argument from SCSI queuecommand_lck functionsBart Van Assche1-2/+2

2020-07-01staging: rts5208/rtsx.c: use generic power managementVaibhav Gupta1-22/+8
Drivers should not use legacy power management as they have to manage power states and related operations, for the device, themselves. This driver was handling them with the help of PCI helper functions like pci_save/restore_state(), pci_enable/disable_device(), etc. With generic PM, all essentials will be handled by the PCI core. Driver needs to do only device-specific operations. The driver was also using pci_enable_wake(...,..., 0) to disable wake. Use device_wakeup_disable() instead. Compile-tested only. 2020-01-10staging: rts5208: remove unneeded header include pathMasahiro Yamada1-2/+0

2019-09-03staging: rts5208: remove redundant sd30_mode checksColin Ian King1-18/+10
There are two hunks of code that check if sd30_mode is true however an earlier check in an outer code block on sd30_mode being false means that sd30_mode can never be true at these points so these checks are redundant. 2019-07-01staging: rts5208: Simplify boolean expression to improve code styleTobias Nießen1-4/+4
This bitwisen / boolean expression can be made more readable while reducing the line lengths at the same time. This commit uses the fact that a & (b | c) == (b | c) evaluates to true if and only if (a & b) && (a & c) is true. Since b and c are constants with relatively long names, using the second form makes the code much more readable and shorter.
