2018-02-12vfs: do bulk POLL* -> EPOLL* replacementLinus Torvalds1-1/+1

NOTE! On almost all architectures, the EPOLL* constants have the same values as the POLL* constants do. But they keyword here is "almost". For various bad reasons they aren't the same, and epoll() doesn't actually work quite correctly in some cases due to this on Sparc et al. This commit adds a driver for the Virtual Box Guest PCI device used in Virtual Box virtual machines. Enabling this driver will add support for Virtual Box Guest integration features such as copy-and-paste, seamless mode and OpenGL pass-through. This driver also offers vboxguest IPC functionality which is needed for the vboxfs driver which offers folder sharing support. This commits adds a header describing the hardware interface for the Virtual Box Guest PCI device used in Virtual Box virtual machines and utility functions for talking to the Virtual Box hypervisor over this interface. These utility functions will used both by the vboxguest driver for the PCI device which offers the /dev/vboxguest ioctl API and by the vboxfs driver which offers folder sharing support. This removes the 'write' and 'force' from get_user_pages() and replaces them with 'gup_flags' to make the use of FOLL_FORCE explicit in callers as use of this flag can result in surprising behaviour (and hence bugs) within the mm subsystem. 2016-02-16mm/gup: Switch all callers of get_user_pages() to not pass tsk/mmDave Hansen1-3/+2
We will soon modify the vanilla get_user_pages() so it can no longer be used on mm/tasks other than 'current/current->mm', which is by far the most common way it is called. For now, we allow the old-style calls, but warn when they are used. (implemented in previous patch) This patch switches all callers of: get_user_pages() get_user_pages_unlocked() get_user_pages_locked() to stop passing tsk/mm so they will no longer see the warnings. 2012-11-25drivers/virt: the Freescale hypervisor driver doesn't need to check MSR[GS]Timur Tabi1-3/+0
The MSR[GS] bit indicates whether the kernel is running in processor guest state mode, but such a check is unnecessary. The driver already checks for the /hypervisor node and the fsl,hv-version property, so it already knows that it's running under the Freescale hypervisor. There is nothing in the driver that inherently requires guest state, anyway. This fixes a break that can occur in some randconfig builds. Add the drivers/virt directory, which houses drivers that support virtualization environments, and add the Freescale hypervisor management driver. The Freescale hypervisor management driver provides several services to drivers and applications related to the Freescale hypervisor: 1. An ioctl interface for querying and managing partitions 2. A file interface to reading incoming doorbells 3. An interrupt handler for shutting down the partition upon receiving the shutdown doorbell from a manager partition 4. A kernel interface for receiving callbacks when a managed partition shuts down.
