2011-10-22inet: add rfc 3168 extract in front of INET_ECN_encapsulate()Eric Dumazet1-0/+8
INET_ECN_encapsulate() is better understood if we can read the official statement. Signed-off-by: Eric Dumazet <eric.dumazet@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2011-05-13ipv6: restore correct ECN handling on TCP xmitSteinar H. Gunderson1-3/+13
Since commit e9df2e8fd8fbc9 (Use appropriate sock tclass setting for routing lookup) we lost ability to properly add ECN codemarks to ipv6 TCP frames. It seems like TCP_ECN_send() calls INET_ECN_xmit(), which only sets the ECN bit in the IPv4 ToS field (inet_sk(sk)->tos), but after the patch, what's checked is inet6_sk(sk)->tclass, which is a completely different field. Close bug https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34322 [Eric Dumazet] : added the INET_ECN_dontxmit() fix and replace macros by inline functions for clarity. Signed-off-by: Steinar H. 2010-09-24net: return operator cleanupEric Dumazet1-1/+1
Change "return (EXPR);" to "return EXPR;" return is not a function, parentheses are not required. Signed-off-by: Eric Dumazet <eric.dumazet@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2009-02-15net: replace __constant_{endian} uses in net headersHarvey Harrison1-2/+2
Base versions handle constant folding now. For headers exposed to userspace, we must only expose the __ prefixed versions. Signed-off-by: Harvey Harrison <harvey.harrison@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2008-01-29[INET]: Give outer DSCP directly to ip*_copy_dscpHerbert Xu1-4/+4
This patch changes the prototype of ipv4_copy_dscp and ipv6_copy_dscp so that they directly take the outer DSCP rather than the outer IP header. This will help us to unify the code for inter-family tunnels. Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2007-04-26[SK_BUFF]: Convert skb->tail to sk_buff_data_tArnaldo Carvalho de Melo1-4/+2
So that it is also an offset from skb->head, reduces its size from 8 to 4 bytes on 64bit architectures, allowing us to combine the 4 bytes hole left by the layer headers conversion, reducing struct sk_buff size to 256 bytes, i.e. 4 64byte cachelines, and since the sk_buff slab cache is SLAB_HWCACHE_ALIGN... :-) Many calculations that previously required that skb->{transport,network, mac}_header be first converted to a pointer now can be done directly, being meaningful as offsets or pointers. 2007-04-26[SK_BUFF]: Introduce ipv6_hdr(), remove skb->nh.ipv6hArnaldo Carvalho de Melo1-1/+1
Now the skb->nh union has just one member, .raw, i.e. it is just like the skb->mac union, strange, no? I'm just leaving it like that till the transport layer is done with, when we'll rename skb->mac.raw to skb->mac_header (or ->mac_header_offset?), ditto for ->{h,nh}. 2007-04-26[SK_BUFF]: Introduce ip_hdr(), remove skb->nh.iphArnaldo Carvalho de Melo1-1/+1

2007-04-26[SK_BUFF]: Introduce skb_network_header()Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo1-2/+4
For the places where we need a pointer to the network header, it is still legal to touch skb->nh.raw directly if just adding to, subtracting from or setting it to another layer header. Signed-off-by: Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo <acme@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2006-11-06[IPV6]: Fix ECN bug on big-endianAl Viro1-1/+1
__constant_htons(2<<4) is not a replacement for htonl(2<<20). Signed-off-by: Al Viro <viro@zeniv.linux.org.uk> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2006-01-04[INET_SOCK]: Move struct inet_sock & helper functions to net/inet_sock.hArnaldo Carvalho de Melo1-0/+2
To help in reducing the number of include dependencies, several files were touched as they were getting needed headers indirectly for stuff they use. Thanks also to Alan Menegotto for pointing out that net/dccp/proto.c had linux/dccp.h include twice. Signed-off-by: Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo <acme@mandriva.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2005-11-06[NET]: Introduce INET_ECN_set_ce() functionThomas Graf1-4/+24
Changes IP_ECN_set_ce() and IP6_ECN_set_ce() to return 0 if the CE bits could not bet set because none of the ECT bits are set or 1 if the CE bits are already set or have been successfully set. Introduces INET_ECN_set_ce(skb) to enable CE bits for all supported protocols. Signed-off-by: Thomas Graf <tgraf@suug.ch> Signed-off-by: Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo <acme@mandriva.com>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
