2021-03-25ASoC: max98373: Changed amp shutdown register as volatileRyan Lee1-0/+1
0x20FF(amp global enable) register was defined as non-volatile, but it is not. Overheating, overcurrent can cause amp shutdown in hardware. 'regmap_write' compare register readback value before writing to avoid same value writing. 'regmap_read' just read cache not actual hardware value for the non-volatile register. When amp is internally shutdown by some reason, next 'AMP ON' command can be ignored because regmap think amp is already ON. 2020-12-17ASoC: max98373: don't access volatile registers in bias level offBard Liao1-0/+20
We will set regcache_cache_only true in suspend. As a result, regmap_read will return error when we try to read volatile registers in suspend. Besides, it doesn't make sense to read feedback data when codec is not active. To make userspace happy, this patch returns a cached value shich should be a valid value. 2020-07-09ASoC: codecs: max98373: split I2C and common partsPierre-Louis Bossart1-0/+612
To prepare support for SoundWire, let's first split the I2C and common parts. No new functionality, just indents and formatting to make checkpatch happy.
