2019-12-11ASoC: samsung: Drop superfluous ioctl PCM opsTakashi Iwai1-1/+0
ASoC PCM core deals the empty ioctl field now as default. Let's kill the redundant lines. Now platform can be replaced to component, let's do it. Signed-off-by: Kuninori Morimoto <kuninori.morimoto.gx@renesas.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org>
2017-08-14ASoC: samsung: make snd_soc_platform_driver constBhumika Goyal1-1/+1
Make this const as it is only passed as the 2nd argument to the function devm_snd_soc_register_platform, which is of type const. Done using Coccinelle. Signed-off-by: Bhumika Goyal <bhumirks@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org>
2017-08-14ASoC: samsung: constify snd_pcm_ops structuresArvind Yadav1-1/+1
snd_pcm_ops are not supposed to change at runtime. All functions working with snd_pcm_ops provided by <sound/soc.h> work with const snd_pcm_ops. So mark the non-const structs as const. Signed-off-by: Arvind Yadav <arvind.yadav.cs@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org>
2016-08-08ASoC: samsung: Remove unused now unused struct s3c_dma_paramsSylwester Nawrocki1-1/+0
There is no user of this data structure now, all users have been converted to use struct snd_dmaengine_dai_dma_data instead. Signed-off-by: Sylwester Nawrocki <s.nawrocki@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org>
2014-10-20ASoC: samsung: drop owner assignment from platform_driversWolfram Sang1-1/+0
A platform_driver does not need to set an owner, it will be populated by the driver core. Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de>
2014-08-17ASoC: samsung idma: Add proper annotation for casting iomem pointersLars-Peter Clausen1-2/+2
It is not always possible to interchange iomem pointers with normal pointers, which why we have annotations for iomem pointers and warn when casting them to a normal pointer or vice versa. In this case the casting is fine and unfortunately necessary so add the proper annotations to tell code checkers that it is intentional. This silences the following warnings from sparse: sound/soc/samsung/idma.c:354:20: warning: incorrect type in argument 1 (different address spaces) expected void volatile [noderef] <asn:2>*addr got unsigned char *area sound/soc/samsung/idma.c:372:22: warning: cast removes address space of expression Signed-off-by: Lars-Peter Clausen <lars@metafoo.de> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@linaro.org>
2014-06-27ASoC: samsung: Remove unused variable from idma.cSachin Kamat1-2/+1
‘iiscon’ is not used in the function. Remove it. Signed-off-by: Sachin Kamat <sachin.kamat@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@linaro.org>
2014-05-22ASoC: samsung: Use devm_snd_soc_register_platformTushar Behera1-8/+1
Replaced snd_soc_register_platform with devm_snd_soc_register_platform in samsung_asoc_dma_platform_register(). This makes the function samsung_asoc_dma_platform_unregister() redundant. This is removed and all its users are updated. Signed-off-by: Tushar Behera <tushar.behera@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@linaro.org>
2014-05-01ASoC: samsung-idma: avoid 64-bit divisionArnd Bergmann1-1/+1
dma_addr_t may be 64 bit wide, which causes a build failure when doing a division on it. Here it is safe to cast to an u32 type, which avoids the problem. Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Signed-off-by: Xia Kaixu <kaixu.xia@linaro.org> Tested-by: Tushar Behera <tushar.behera@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@linaro.org>
2013-12-30ASoC: samsung: Don't set unused struct snd_pcm_hardware fieldsLars-Peter Clausen1-8/+0
The ASoC core assumes that the PCM component of the ASoC card transparently moves data around and does not impose any restrictions on the memory layout or the transfer speed. It ignores all fields from the snd_pcm_hardware struct for the PCM driver that are related to this. Setting these fields in the PCM driver might suggest otherwise though, so rather not set them. 2013-10-31DMA-API: sound: fix dma mask handling in a lot of driversRussell King1-7/+4
This code sequence is unsafe in modules: static u64 mask = DMA_BIT_MASK(something); ... if (!dev->dma_mask) dev->dma_mask = &mask; as if a module is reloaded, the mask will be pointing at the original module's mask address, and this can lead to oopses. Moreover, they all follow this with: if (!dev->coherent_dma_mask) dev->coherent_dma_mask = mask; where 'mask' is the same value as the statically defined mask, and this bypasses the architecture's check on whether the DMA mask is possible. Fix these issues by using the new dma_coerce_coherent_and_mask() function. 2013-04-11ASoC: samsung: export idma_reg_addr_initArnd Bergmann1-0/+1
The idma_reg_addr_init function is used by the samsung i2s driver, which can be a loadable module, so we have to export this function. Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com>
2013-04-11ASoC: samsung: use irq resource for idmaArnd Bergmann1-2/+8
With multiplatform kernels, we cannot use hardwired IRQ numbers in device drivers. This changes the idma driver to use a proper resource, like all other drivers do. Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com>
2012-12-09ASoC: Samsung: remove __dev* attributesBill Pemberton1-3/+3
CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As result the __dev* markings will be going away. Remove use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit. Signed-off-by: Bill Pemberton <wfp5p@virginia.edu> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com>

2012-01-07ASoC: check for substream not channels_min in pcm enginesJoachim Eastwood1-2/+1
This is a follow up on 53dea36c70c1857 which fixes the other affected pcm engines. Description from 53dea36c70c1857: Don't rely on the codec's channels_min information to decide wheter or not allocate a substream's DMA buffer. Rather check if the substream itself was allocated previously. Without this patch I was seeing null-pointer dereferenc in atmel-pcm. 2011-11-01sound: Add module.h to the previously silent sound usersPaul Gortmaker1-0/+1
Lots of sound drivers were getting module.h via the implicit presence of it in <linux/device.h> but we are going to clean that up. So fix up those users now. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com>
2011-08-12ASoC: SAMSUNG: Add I2S0 internal dma driverSangbeom Kim1-0/+453
