2021-01-19ASoC: tegra: Simplify with dma_set_mask_and_coherent()Takashi Iwai1-5/+1
ASoC tegra PCM code still has explicit calls of dma_set_mask() and dma_set_coherent_mask(). Let's simplify with dma_set_mask_and_coherent(). 2020-07-22ASoC: tegra: Add Tegra210 based ADMAIF driverSameer Pujar1-1/+234
ADMAIF is the interface between ADMA and AHUB. Each ADMA channel that sends/receives data to/from AHUB must intreface through an ADMAIF channel. ADMA channel sending data to AHUB pairs with an ADMAIF Tx channel and similarly ADMA channel receiving data from AHUB pairs with an ADMAIF Rx channel. Buffer size is configurable for each ADMAIF channel, but currently SW uses default values. This patch registers ADMAIF driver with ASoC framework. The component driver exposes DAPM widgets, routes and kcontrols for the device. The DAI driver exposes ADMAIF interfaces, which can be used to connect different components in the ASoC layer. Makefile and Kconfig support is added to allow to build the driver. The ADMAIF device can be enabled in the DT via "nvidia,tegra210-admaif" compatible binding. Tegra PCM driver is updated to expose required PCM interfaces and snd_pcm_ops callbacks. 2013-12-21ASoC: tegra: Don't set unused struct snd_pcm_hardware fieldsLars-Peter Clausen1-3/+0
The ASoC core assumes that the PCM component of the ASoC card transparently moves data around and does not impose any restrictions on the memory layout or the transfer speed. It ignores all fields from the snd_pcm_hardware struct for the PCM driver that are related to this. Setting these fields in the PCM driver might suggest otherwise though, so rather not set them. 2013-12-12ASoC: tegra: convert to standard DMA DT bindingsStephen Warren1-3/+14
By passing no flags when calling snd_dmaengine_pcm_register() from tegra_pcm.c, we end up using dma_request_slave_channel() rather than dmaengine_pcm_compat_request_channel(), and hence rely on the standard DMA DT bindings and stashing the DMA slave ID away during channel allocation. This means there's no need to use a custom DT property to store the slave ID. So, remove all the code that parsed it. 2013-04-17ASoC: dmaengine-pcm: Make requesting the DMA channel at PCM open optionalLars-Peter Clausen1-2/+2
Refactor the dmaengine PCM library to allow the DMA channel to be requested before opening a PCM substream. snd_dmaengine_pcm_open() now expects a DMA channel instead of a filter function and filter parameter as its parameters. snd_dmaengine_pcm_close() is updated to not release the DMA channel. This allows a dmaengine based PCM driver to request its channels before the substream is opened. The patch also introduces two new functions, snd_dmaengine_pcm_open_request_chan() and snd_dmaengine_pcm_close_release_chan(), which have the same signature and behaviour of the old snd_dmaengine_pcm_{open,close}() and internally use the new variants of these functions. All users of snd_dmaengine_pcm_{open,close}() are updated to use snd_dmaengine_pcm_open_request_chan() and snd_dmaengine_pcm_close_release_chan(). 2013-04-03ASoC: tegra: Don't claim to support PCM pause and resumeLars-Peter Clausen1-23/+1
The tegra dmaengine driver does not support pausing and resuming a DMA stream. The tegra PCM driver still claims to support pause and resume though and implements them by stopping and restarting the stream. This is not what an application using pause/resume would expect. Usually applications have support for working around PCMs which do not support suspend and resume, so don't set the SNDRV_PCM_INFO_PAUSE and SNDRV_PCM_INFO_RESUME flags for the tegra PCM and use the default snd_dmaengine_pcm_trigger callback. 2012-09-07ASoC: tegra: fix maxburst settings in dmaengine codeStephen Warren1-2/+2
The I2S controllers are programmed with an "attention" level of 4 DWORDs. This must match the configuration passed to the DMA driver, so that when they burst in data, they don't overflow the available FIFO space. Also, the burst size is relevant to the destination for playback, and source for capture, not vice-versa as originally written. 2012-04-01ASoC: tegra: register 'platform' from DAIs, get rid of pdevStephen Warren1-19/+7
Previously, the ASoC 'platform' (PCM/DMA) object was instantiated via a platform_device. This didn't represent the hardware well, since there was no separate hardware associated with this platform_device; it was a virtual device with sole purpose to call snd_soc_register_platform(). This mechanism required all board files to register this device, and all ASoC machine drivers to create and register this device when booting using device tree. This change removes the platform_device completely. Each Tegra DAI now registers the ASoC 'platform' itself. Machine drivers are adjusted for the new 'platform' name.
