2022-05-17NFS: update documentation for the nfs4_unique_id parameterNeilBrown1-6/+9
The documentation for nfs4_unique_id is out-of-date. In particular it claim that when nfs4_unique_id is set, the host name is not used. since Commit 55b592933b7d ("NFSv4: Fix nfs4_init_uniform_client_string for net namespaces") both the unique_id AND the host name are used. Update the documentation to match the code. Signed-off-by: NeilBrown <neilb@suse.de> Signed-off-by: Anna Schumaker <Anna.Schumaker@Netapp.com>
2020-07-05Replace HTTP links with HTTPS ones: Documentation/admin-guideAlexander A. Klimov1-2/+2
Rationale: Reduces attack surface on kernel devs opening the links for MITM as HTTPS traffic is much harder to manipulate. Deterministic algorithm: For each file: If not .svg: For each line: If doesn't contain `\bxmlns\b`: For each link, `\bhttp://[^# \t\r\n]*(?:\w|/)`: If both the HTTP and HTTPS versions return 200 OK and serve the same content: Replace HTTP with HTTPS. 2020-01-16Documentation: convert nfs.txt to ReSTDaniel W. S. Almeida1-0/+141
This patch converts nfs.txt to RST. It also moves it to admin-guide. The reason for moving it is because this document contains information useful for system administrators, as noted on the following paragraph: 'The purpose of this document is to provide information on some of the special features of the NFS client that can be configured by system administrators'.
