2022-12-16dt-bindings: drop redundant part of title (end)Krzysztof Kozlowski1-1/+1
The Devicetree bindings document does not have to say in the title that it is a "Devicetree binding", but instead just describe the hardware. Drop trailing "Devicetree bindings" in various forms (also with trailing full stop): find Documentation/devicetree/bindings/ -type f -name '*.yaml' \ -not -name 'trivial-devices.yaml' \ -exec sed -i -e 's/^title: \(.*\) [dD]evice[ -]\?[tT]ree [bB]indings\?\.\?$/title: \1/' {} \; find Documentation/devicetree/bindings/ -type f -name '*.yaml' \ -not -name 'trivial-devices.yaml' \ -exec sed -i -e 's/^title: \(.*\) [dD]evice[ -]\?[nN]ode [bB]indings\?\.\?$/title: \1/' {} \; find Documentation/devicetree/bindings/ -type f -name '*.yaml' \ -not -name 'trivial-devices.yaml' \ -exec sed -i -e 's/^title: \(.*\) [dD][tT] [bB]indings\?\.\?$/title: \1/' {} \; Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <krzysztof.kozlowski@linaro.org> Acked-by: Alexandre Belloni <alexandre.belloni@bootlin.com> Acked-by: Jonathan Cameron <Jonathan.Cameron@huawei.com> # IIO Reviewed-by: Jonathan Cameron <Jonathan.Cameron@huawei.com> Acked-by: Ulf Hansson <ulf.hansson@linaro.org> # MMC Acked-by: Stephen Boyd <sboyd@kernel.org> # clk Acked-by: Dmitry Torokhov <dmitry.torokhov@gmail.com> # input Acked-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org> Acked-by: Hans Verkuil <hverkuil-cisco@xs4all.nl> # media Acked-by: Sebastian Reichel <sre@kernel.org> # power Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20221216163815.522628-5-krzysztof.kozlowski@linaro.org Signed-off-by: Rob Herring <robh@kernel.org>
2022-02-04dt-bindings: ingenic,i2c: Rework interrupts in exampleRob Herring1-3/+1
In order to determine the number of interrupt cells in examples, the examples will require all 'interrupts' properties to use the same number of cells or have explicit interrupt provider node(s). As the former is simpler, update the Ingenic example to use 2 interrupt cells everywhere. 2021-11-12dt-bindings: Rename Ingenic CGU headers to ingenic,*.hPaul Cercueil1-1/+1
Tidy up a bit the tree, by prefixing all include/dt-bindings/clock/ files related to Ingenic SoCs with 'ingenic,'. 2020-10-27dt-bindings: More whitespace clean-ups in schema filesRob Herring1-4/+4
Clean-up incorrect indentation, extra spaces, and missing EOF newline in schema files. Most of the clean-ups are for list indentation which should always be 2 spaces more than the preceding keyword. Found with yamllint (now integrated into the checks). 2020-09-21dt-bindings: i2c: ingenic: Add compatible string for the JZ4770Paul Cercueil1-4/+8
The I2C controller in the JZ4770 SoC seems to work the exact same as in the JZ4780 SoC. We could use "ingenic,jz4780-i2c" as a fallback string in the Device Tree, but that would be awkward, since the JZ4780 is newer. Instead, add a "ingenic,jz4770-i2c" string and use it as fallback for the "ingenic,jz4780-i2c" string. 2020-05-12dt-bindings: i2c: Convert i2c-jz4780.txt to YAMLPaul Cercueil1-0/+88
Convert the i2c-jz4780.txt file to ingenic,i2c.yaml. Two things were changed in the process: - the clock-frequency property can now only be set to the two values that can be set by the hardware; - the dmas and dma-names properties are now required.
