2023-08-23dt-bindings: use capital "OR" for multiple licenses in SPDXKrzysztof Kozlowski1-1/+1
Documentation/process/license-rules.rst and checkpatch expect the SPDX identifier syntax for multiple licenses to use capital "OR". Correct it to keep consistent format and avoid copy-paste issues. Correct also the format // -> .* in few Allwinner binding headers as pointed out by checkpatch: WARNING: Improper SPDX comment style for 'include/dt-bindings/reset/sun50i-h6-ccu.h', please use '/*' instead Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <krzysztof.kozlowski@linaro.org> Acked-by: Guenter Roeck <linux@roeck-us.net> Acked-by: Stephen Boyd <sboyd@kernel.org> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20230823084540.112602-1-krzysztof.kozlowski@linaro.org Signed-off-by: Rob Herring <robh@kernel.org>

2023-03-30dt-bindings: remoteproc: ti: Add new compatible for AM62 SoC familyDevarsh Thakkar1-21/+55
AM62 family of devices don't have a R5F cluster, instead they have single core DM R5F. Add new compatible string ti,am62-r5fss to support this scenario. When this new compatible is used cluster-mode property can only be set to value 3 i.e. CLUSTER_MODE_SINGLECORE which is also the default value in case cluster-mode is not defined in device-tree. While at it, also sort the compatible lists in alphabetical order. 2022-03-02dt-bindings: Another pass removing cases of 'allOf' containing a '$ref'Rob Herring1-2/+1
Another pass at removing unnecessary use of 'allOf' with a '$ref'. json-schema versions draft7 and earlier have a weird behavior in that any keywords combined with a '$ref' are ignored (silently). The correct form was to put a '$ref' under an 'allOf'. This behavior is now changed in the 2019-09 json-schema spec and '$ref' can be mixed with other keywords. 2022-02-04dt-bindings: remoteproc: ti: Add mailbox provider nodes to exampleRob Herring1-0/+8
In order to make the 'mboxes' property in the TI remoteproc examples parseable, mailbox provider nodes are needed. Normally, the examples have a __fixup__ node which can be used for determining each phandle+arg entry. However, for this binding the arg cells contain a phandle, and the __fixups__ information can't be used. 2022-02-04dt-bindings: Improve phandle-array schemasRob Herring1-0/+2
The 'phandle-array' type is a bit ambiguous. It can be either just an array of phandles or an array of phandles plus args. Many schemas for phandle-array properties aren't clear in the schema which case applies though the description usually describes it. The array of phandles case boils down to needing: items: maxItems: 1 The phandle plus args cases should typically take this form: items: - items: - description: A phandle - description: 1st arg cell - description: 2nd arg cell With this change, some examples need updating so that the bracketing of property values matches the schema. 2021-12-01dt-bindings: remoteproc: k3-r5f: Update bindings for J721S2 SoCsHari Nagalla1-3/+5
The TI K3 J721S2 SoCs have three dual-core Arm R5F clusters/subsystems, with 2 R5F cores each, one in MCU voltage domain and the other two in MAIN voltage domain. These clusters are similar to J7200 R5F clusters. Compatible info is updated for intuitively matching to the new J721S2 SoCs. 2021-09-28dt-bindings: remoteproc: k3-r5f: Cleanup SoC compatible from DT exampleSinthu Raja1-3/+1
The K3 R5F binding example used the root-node with a SoC compatible property originally to address the dt_binding_check warnings resulting from using a value of 2 for #address-cells and #size-cells as per most common usage on K3 SoCs. Clean this up and replace it with a generic soc node to keep it agnostic of the SoC or board compatibles that are outside the scope of this binding. 2020-10-14dt-bindings: remoteproc: Add bindings for R5F subsystem on TI K3 SoCsSuman Anna1-0/+281
The Texas Instruments K3 family of SoCs have one or more dual-core Arm Cortex R5F processor subsystems/clusters (R5FSS). The clusters can be split between multiple voltage domains as well. Add the device tree bindings document for these R5F subsystem devices. These R5F processors do not have an MMU, and so require fixed memory carveout regions matching the firmware image addresses. The nodes require more than one memory region, with the first memory region used for DMA allocations at runtime. The remaining memory regions are reserved and are used for the loading and running of the R5F remote processors. The R5F processors can also optionally use any internal on-chip SRAM memories either for executing code or using it as fast-access data. The added example illustrates the DT nodes for the single R5FSS device present on K3 AM65x family of SoCs.
