2024-04-05dt-bindings: treewide: add access-controllers descriptionGatien Chevallier1-0/+4
access-controllers is an optional property that allows a peripheral to refer to one or more domain access controller(s). Description of this property is added to all peripheral binding files of the peripheral under the STM32 firewall controller. It allows an accurate representation of the hardware, where various peripherals are connected to a firewall bus. The firewall can then check the peripheral accesses before allowing its device to probe. 2022-09-07dt-bindings: rng: omap_rng: Drop requirement for clocksAndrew Davis1-11/+0
For K3 devices the clock fed into the RNG module is shared with the rest of the Crypto module, it is not dedicated to the RNG module and cannot be controlled by the RNG driver. The driver does not require this clock to always be defined and the DT binding should not force it either. Remove this so we can start dropping out the clock properties as needed. 2022-05-23dt-bindings: Fix properties without any typeRob Herring1-0/+1
Now that the schema tools can extract type information for all properties (in order to decode dtb files), finding properties missing any type definition is fairly trivial though not yet automated. Fix the various property schemas which are missing a type. Most of these tend to be device specific properties which don't have a vendor prefix. A vendor prefix is how we normally ensure a type is defined. RNGB block is found in some i.MX6 SoCs - 6SL, 6SLL, 6ULL, 6ULZ. Add corresponding compatible strings. Note: Several NXP SoC from QorIQ family (P1010, P1023, P4080, P3041, P5020) also have a RNGB, however it's part of the CAAM (Cryptograhic Accelerator and Assurance Module) crypto accelerator. In this case, RNGB is managed in the caam driver (drivers/crypto/caam/), since it's tightly related to the caam "job ring" interface, not to mention CAAM internally relying on RNGB as source of randomness. On the other hand, the i.MX6 SoCs with RNGB have a DCP (Data Co-Processor) crypto accelerator and this block and RNGB are independent. Another round of 'allOf' removals that came in this cycle. json-schema versions draft7 and earlier have a weird behavior in that any keywords combined with a '$ref' are ignored (silently). The correct form was to put a '$ref' under an 'allOf'. This behavior is now changed in the 2019-09 json-schema spec and '$ref' can be mixed with other keywords. The json-schema library doesn't yet support this, but the tooling now does a fixup for this and either way works.
