2024-01-09mm, treewide: rename MAX_ORDER to MAX_PAGE_ORDERKirill A. Shutemov1-7/+7
commit 23baf831a32c ("mm, treewide: redefine MAX_ORDER sanely") has changed the definition of MAX_ORDER to be inclusive. This has caused issues with code that was not yet upstream and depended on the previous definition. To draw attention to the altered meaning of the define, rename MAX_ORDER to MAX_PAGE_ORDER. 2021-06-04docs: networking: Replace strncpy() with strscpy()Kees Cook1-1/+1
Replace example code's use of strncpy() with strscpy() functions. Using strncpy() is considered deprecated: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/process/deprecated.html#strncpy-on-nul-terminated-strings Signed-off-by: Kees Cook <keescook@chromium.org> Acked-by: Dmitry Torokhov <dmitry.torokhov@gmail.com> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20210602202914.4079123-1-keescook@chromium.org Signed-off-by: Jonathan Corbet <corbet@lwn.net>
2021-01-05docs: networking: packet_mmap: fix old config referenceBaruch Siach1-5/+4
Before commit 889b8f964f2f ("packet: Kill CONFIG_PACKET_MMAP.") there used to be a CONFIG_PACKET_MMAP config symbol that depended on CONFIG_PACKET. The text still implies that PACKET_MMAP can be disabled. Remove that from the text, as well as reference to old kernel versions. Also, drop reference to broken link to information for pre 2.6.5 kernels. Make a slight working improvement (s/In/On/) while at it. 2020-04-30docs: networking: convert packet_mmap.txt to ReSTMauro Carvalho Chehab1-0/+1084
This patch has a big diff, but most are due to whitespaces. Yet, the conversion is similar to other files under networking: - add SPDX header; - add a document title; - adjust titles and chapters, adding proper markups; - mark lists as such; - mark tables as such; - mark code blocks and literals as such; - adjust identation, whitespaces and blank lines where needed; - add to networking/index.rst.
