2013-04-10cpufreq: sparc: move cpufreq driver to drivers/cpufreqViresh Kumar1-269/+0
This patch moves cpufreq driver of SPARC architecture to drivers/cpufreq. Signed-off-by: Viresh Kumar <viresh.kumar@linaro.org> Acked-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net> Signed-off-by: Rafael J. Wysocki <rafael.j.wysocki@intel.com>
2013-04-02cpufreq: Don't check if cpu is online/offline for cpufreq callbacksViresh Kumar1-6/+0
cpufreq layer doesn't call cpufreq driver's callback for any offline CPU and so checking that isn't useful. Lets get rid of it. Signed-off-by: Viresh Kumar <viresh.kumar@linaro.org> Acked-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net> Signed-off-by: Rafael J. Wysocki <rafael.j.wysocki@intel.com>
2013-04-02cpufreq: Notify all policy->cpus in cpufreq_notify_transition()Viresh Kumar1-6/+7
policy->cpus contains all online cpus that have single shared clock line. And their frequencies are always updated together. Many SMP system's cpufreq drivers take care of this in individual drivers but the best place for this code is in cpufreq core. This patch modifies cpufreq_notify_transition() to notify frequency change for all cpus in policy->cpus and hence updates all users of this API. 2011-06-08sparc: Remove unnecessary semicolonsJoe Perches1-2/+2
Semicolons are not necessary after switch/while/for/if braces so remove them. Signed-off-by: Joe Perches <joe@perches.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2011-05-17sparc: convert old cpumask API into new oneKOSAKI Motohiro1-2/+2
Adapt new API. Almost change is trivial, most important change are to remove following like =operator. cpumask_t cpu_mask = *mm_cpumask(mm); cpus_allowed = current->cpus_allowed; Because cpumask_var_t is =operator unsafe. These usage might prevent kernel core improvement. No functional change. Signed-off-by: KOSAKI Motohiro <kosaki.motohiro@jp.fujitsu.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2010-03-28arch/sparc/kernel: Use set_cpus_allowed_ptrJulia Lawall1-4/+4
Use set_cpus_allowed_ptr rather than set_cpus_allowed. The semantic patch that makes this change is as follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) // <smpl> @@ expression E1,E2; @@ - set_cpus_allowed(E1, cpumask_of_cpu(E2)) + set_cpus_allowed_ptr(E1, cpumask_of(E2)) @@ expression E; identifier I; @@ - set_cpus_allowed(E, I) + set_cpus_allowed_ptr(E, &I) // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <julia@diku.dk> Signed-off-by: David S. 2008-12-04sparc,sparc64: unify kernel/Sam Ravnborg1-0/+274
o Move all files from sparc64/kernel/ to sparc/kernel - rename as appropriate o Update sparc/Makefile to the changes o Update sparc/kernel/Makefile to include the sparc64 files NOTE: This commit changes link order on sparc64! Link order had to change for either of sparc32 and sparc64. And assuming sparc64 see more testing than sparc32 change link order on sparc64 where issues will be caught faster.
