2021-01-22ACPICA: fix -WfallthroughNick Desaulniers1-2/+2
ACPICA commit 4b9135f5774caa796ddf826448811e8e7f08ef2f GCC 7.1 gained -Wimplicit-fallthrough to warn on implicit fallthrough, as well as __attribute__((__fallthrough__)) and comments to explicitly denote that cases of fallthrough were intentional. Clang also supports this warning and statement attribute, but not the comment form. Robert Moore provides additional context about the lint comments being removed. They were for "an old version of PC-Lint, which we don't use anymore." Drop those. This will help us enable -Wimplicit-fallthrough throughout the Linux kernel. 2013-09-06ACPICA: Fix for a Store->ArgX when ArgX contains a reference to a field.Bob Moore1-64/+102
This change fixes a problem where a Store operation to an ArgX object that contained a reference to a field object did not complete the automatic dereference and then write to the actual field object. Instead, the object type of the field object was inadvertently changed to match the type of the source operand. The new behavior will actually write to the field object (buffer field or field unit), thus matching the correct ACPI-defined behavior. 2013-01-10ACPICA: Interpreter: Fix Store() when implicit conversion is not possible.Bob Moore1-5/+24
For the cases such as a store of a string to an existing package object, implement the store as a CopyObject(). This is a small departure from the ACPI specification which states that the control method should be aborted in this case. However, ASLTS suite depends on this behavior. 2010-04-20ACPICA: Enhance configuration for output of AML Debug ObjectLin Ming1-215/+1
This change will enable debug object output via a global variable, acpi_gbl_enable_aml_debug_object. This will help with remote machine debugging. Also, moved all debug object support code to a new file, exdebug.c. Entire debug object module can now be configured out of the ACPICA build if desired.
