[WHY]
resource_stream_to_stream_idx returns an array index and it return -1
when not found; however, -1 is not a valid array index number.
[HOW]
When this happens, call ASSERT(), and return a zero instead.

[Why]
For video mode test pattern (i.e. test pattern disable), the call to
rebuild test pattern params for the pipe is skipped. This causes
dynamic disablement of test pattern to not work, as the
test_pattern_params of the pipe will not be updated and retain the
values of the previously enabled test pattern.
[How]
Rebuild test pattern params even when test pattern is video mode,
allowing the pipe to have updated test_pattern_params values.

[why]
There is an ambiguity in subvp pipe topology log. The log doesn't show
subvp relation to main stream and it is not clear that certain stream
is an internal stream for subvp pipes.
[how]
Separate subvp pipe topology logging from main pipe topology. Log main
stream indices instead of the internal stream for subvp pipes.
The following is a sample log showing 2 streams with subvp enabled on
both:

[why]
There could be cases that we are transition from MPC to ODM combine.
In this case if we map pipes before unmapping MPC pipes, we might
temporarly run out of pipes. The change reorders pipe resource

[why]
when ODM + MPO is used for all 4 available pipes. Pipe transition will
be nonseamless. Phantom OTG master pipe reuses the secondary OPP head
pipe. There is no possible seamless path to transit to the new
state. The correct logic would be to reuse a secondary DPP pipe as the
phantom OTG master pipe. This way we are able to first transit the
minimal transtion state of new and then transit to new state seamlessly.

[WHY]
Currently 3-tap chroma subsampling is used for YCbCr422/420. When ODM
pipesplit is used, pixels on the left edge of ODM slices need one extra
pixel from the right edge of the previous slice to calculate the correct
chroma value.
Without this change, the chroma value is slightly different than
expected. This is usually imperceptible visually, but it impacts test
pattern CRCs for compliance test automation.
[HOW]
Update logic to use the register for adding extra left edge pixel for
YCbCr422/420 ODM cases.

We use spatial dither by default for all output bpc (6/8/10). While it
makes some sense for FP16, for ARGB2101010 surfaces it makes little
sense as even if we skip color pipeline to preserve bit accuracy,
spatial dither adds random noise so a few percent pixels are 1 bit off.
This commit chages the 10bpc out dither policy to rounding.
Also, in Polaris/Vega times, policy used to be round for 10bpc out; it
looks like it got inadvertently changed for Navi. Difference is only
detectable with capture cards.

it has too much vactive margin. However, implement a change to allow
it like how 1440p60 is allowed.

enabling subvp with vactive margin (currently 1080p60 and 1440p60)

Current DPG test pattern logic does not account for ODM configuration
changes after test pattern has already been programmed. For example, if

DC is transitioning from DML to DML2, and this commit introduces all the
required changes for some of the already available ASICs and adds the
required code infra to support new ASICs under DML2. DML2 is also a

[why]
The current ODM change detection only compares first two ODM slices.
If there are 4 ODM slices and the change is within the last two slices, the
logic fails to detect ODM change and cause us to skip ODM programming
unexpectedly.
[how]
Add a is ODM topology changed resource interface to check any ODM
topology changes with a more generic method.

[why]
Need to have a helper function to find the primary dp pipe of the plane
associated with a dpp pipe

For multi-GPU systems it is difficult to tell which GPU a particular
message is being printed for and that is undesirable because it
complicates debugging efforts. Also, the new macros allow us to enable
logging for particular parts of the codebase more selectively (since we
no longer need to throw everything at DRM_DEBUG_KMS()). So, for the
reasons outlined above we should switch to the new macros.
We can accomplish this by using the existing DC_LOGGER code to pass
around the relevant `struct drm_device` which will be fed to the new
macros in logger_types.h. Also, we must get rid of all instances of the
DC_LOG_.*() functions that are currently in amdgpu_dm since we don't use
the DC logger there and we can simply refer to the macros directly
there instead.

[why]
ODM combine could prevent us from supporting more planes
we will reset ODM slice count back to 1 when all planes have
been removed to maximize the amount of planes supported when
new planes are added.
[how]
reset ODM slice count when all planes are removed.

Implements the 'content type' property for HDMI connectors.
Verified by checking the avi infoframe on a connected TV.
This also simplifies a lot of the code in that area as well, there were
a lot of temp variables doing very little and unnecessary logic
that was quite confusing.
It is not necessary to check for support in the EDID before sending a
'content type' value in the avi infoframe also.
v2:
- rebase to amd-staging-drm-next
- mark CRTC state for reset if content_type differs

[why]
build scaling param is overriding validation policy regarding small viewport
support. Even if ODM + windowed MPO is not supported. The decision has
to be made at the time of validation. When building scaling params, we might
be building an initial dc state as an input to DML validation. The initial state
is not supposed to be always valid and we rely on DML to modify the initial
dc state and determine the final validation result. This check is pre judging
validation result when building the initial dc state.
This causes an issue where we are transitioning from desktop only ODM
combine 2:1 to ODM bypass with 2 planes. In this case we are building
an initial state with with ODM 2:1 combine + 2 planes. This is indeed not
supported but DML is about to modify the state so it no longer uses ODM
combine. Before it reaches DML, dc resource already fails validation because
it checks that the initial state is not supported by our policy. This overrides
the ODM decision to validate this state with ODM combine disabled. Therefore
causes an unexpected validation failure when the secondary plane is added
on one side of the screen.
