2021-10-13misc: lis3lv02d: Make lis3lv02d_remove_fs() return voidUwe Kleine-König1-1/+1
Up to now lis3lv02d_remove_fs() returns zero unconditionally. Make it return void instead which makes it easier to see in the callers that there is no error to handle. Also the return value of i2c and spi remove callbacks is ignored anyway. 2021-08-26platform/x86: hp_accel: Remove _INI method callAndy Shevchenko1-1/+0
According to ACPI specification the _INI method must be called when device is enumerated first time. After that there is no need to repeat the procedure. Convert the lis3lv02d_acpi_init() to be a stub (Note, we may not remove it because it is called unconditionally by the accelerometer main driver). 2021-05-11platform/x86: hp_accel: Avoid invoking _INI to speed up resumeKai-Heng Feng1-0/+1
hp_accel can take almost two seconds to resume on some HP laptops. The bottleneck is on evaluating _INI, which is only needed to run once. Resolve the issue by only invoking _INI when it's necessary. Namely, on probe and on hibernation restore. 2012-09-27drivers/misc/lis3lv02d: add generic DT matching codeDaniel Mack1-0/+4
Adds logic to parse lis3 properties from a device tree node and store them in a freshly allocated lis3lv02d_platform_data. Note that the actual match tables are left out here. This part should happen in the drivers that bind to the individual busses (SPI/I2C/PCI). Also adds some DT bindinds documentation. The driver doesn't check the result and directly uses it as some sort of divisor in some places: msleep(lis3->pwron_delay / lis3lv02d_get_odr()); Under this circumstances, this could very well cause the "divide by zero" exception from above. For now, I fixed it the easiest and most obvious way: Check if the result is sane and if it isn't use a sane default instead. I went for "100" in the latter case, simply because /sys/devices/platform/lis3lv02d/rate returns it on a successful boot.
