2023-10-15soc/fujitsu: a64fx-diag: Convert to platform remove callback returning voidUwe Kleine-König1-4/+2
The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by returning an error code. However the value returned is ignored (apart from emitting a warning) and this typically results in resource leaks. To improve here there is a quest to make the remove callback return void. In the first step of this quest all drivers are converted to .remove_new() which already returns void. Eventually after all drivers are converted, .remove_new() will be renamed to .remove(). Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove callback to the void returning variant. 2023-04-13soc: fujitsu: remove MODULE_LICENSE in non-modulesNick Alcock1-1/+0
Since commit 8b41fc4454e ("kbuild: create modules.builtin without Makefile.modbuiltin or tristate.conf"), MODULE_LICENSE declarations are used to identify modules. As a consequence, uses of the macro in non-modules will cause modprobe to misidentify their containing object file as a module when it is not (false positives), and modprobe might succeed rather than failing with a suitable error message. So remove it in the files in this commit, none of which can be built as modules. 2022-07-20soc: a64fx-diag: disable modular buildArnd Bergmann1-1/+1
The NMI infrastructure cannot currently be used in loadable modules: ERROR: modpost: "free_nmi" [drivers/soc/fujitsu/a64fx-diag.ko] undefined! ERROR: modpost: "request_nmi" [drivers/soc/fujitsu/a64fx-diag.ko] undefined! ERROR: modpost: "enable_nmi" [drivers/soc/fujitsu/a64fx-diag.ko] undefined! Disable this for now to make allmodconfig build again. We may revisit this and export those symbols instead in the future. 2022-07-18soc: fujitsu: Add A64FX diagnostic interrupt driverHitomi Hasegawa3-0/+173
Register the NMI/IRQ corresponding to the A64FX's device definition dedicated to diagnostic interrupts, so that when this interrupt is sent using the BMC, it causes a panic. This can be used to obtain a kernel dump.
