2023-08-13watchdog: Explicitly include correct DT includesRob Herring1-1/+0
The DT of_device.h and of_platform.h date back to the separate of_platform_bus_type before it was merged into the regular platform bus. As part of that merge prepping Arm DT support 13 years ago, they "temporarily" include each other. They also include platform_device.h and of.h. As a result, there's a pretty much random mix of those include files used throughout the tree. In order to detangle these headers and replace the implicit includes with struct declarations, users need to explicitly include the correct includes. 2023-02-12watchdog: armada_37xx: Use devm_clk_get_enabled() helperChristophe JAILLET1-14/+1
The devm_clk_get_enabled() helper: - calls devm_clk_get() - calls clk_prepare_enable() and registers what is needed in order to call clk_disable_unprepare() when needed, as a managed resource. This simplifies the code and avoids the need of a dedicated function used with devm_add_action_or_reset(). 2022-10-02watchdog: armada_37xx_wdt: Fix .set_timeout callbackPali Rohár1-0/+2
ioctl(WDIOC_SETTIMEOUT) calls .set_timeout and .ping callbacks and it is expected that it changes current watchdog timeout. armada_37xx_wdt's .ping callback just reping counter 0 and does not touch counter 1 used for timeout. So it is needed to set counter 1 to the new value in .set_timeout callback to ensure ioctl(WDIOC_SETTIMEOUT) functionality. Fix it. improvements Use device managed functions to simplify error handling, reduce source code size, improve readability, and reduce the likelyhood of bugs. Other improvements as listed below. The conversion was done automatically with coccinelle using the following semantic patches. The semantic patches and the scripts used to generate this commit log are available at https://github.com/groeck/coccinelle-patches - Drop assignments to otherwise unused variables - Drop unnecessary braces around conditional return statements - Drop empty remove function - Use devm_add_action_or_reset() for calls to clk_disable_unprepare - Use devm_watchdog_register_driver() to register watchdog device - Replace shutdown function with call to watchdog_stop_on_reboot() Signed-off-by: Guenter Roeck <linux@roeck-us.net> Signed-off-by: Wim Van Sebroeck <wim@linux-watchdog.org>
2018-10-13watchdog: armada_37xx_wdt: use do_div for u64 divisionMarek Behún1-4/+5
When the driver is built on 32 bit architectures during compile test, the linker complains about "__udivdi3" being undefined. We have to use do_div macro instead of the division operator when dividing u64 value. 2018-10-13watchdog: Add support for Armada 37xx CPU watchdogMarek Behún1-0/+387
This adds support for the CPU watchdog found on Marvell Armada 37xx SoCs. There are 4 counters which can be set as CPU watchdog counters. This driver uses the second counter (ID 1, counting from 0) as watchdog counter, and first counter (ID 0) to implement pinging on the second counter without the need to disable it. Since counters IDs 2 and 3 are enabled already before even U-Boot starts, this driver does not use them at all, for example by adding a device tree property for counter selection.
