2022-11-21selftests/bpf: Add cgroup helper remove_cgroup()Hou Tao1-0/+19
Add remove_cgroup() to remove a cgroup which doesn't have any children or live processes. It will be used by the following patch to test cgroup iterator on a dead cgroup. 2022-11-05selftests/bpf: cgroup_helpers.c: Fix strncpy() fortify warningRong Tao1-1/+2
Copy libbpf_strlcpy() from libbpf_internal.h to bpf_util.h, and rename it to bpf_strlcpy(), then replace selftests strncpy()/libbpf_strlcpy() with bpf_strlcpy(), fix compile warning. The libbpf_internal.h header cannot be used directly here, because references to cgroup_helpers.c in samples/bpf will generate compilation errors. We also can't add libbpf_strlcpy() directly to bpf_util.h, because the definition of libbpf_strlcpy() in libbpf_internal.h is duplicated. In order not to modify the libbpf code, add a new function bpf_strlcpy() to selftests bpf_util.h. How to reproduce this compilation warning: $ make -C samples/bpf cgroup_helpers.c: In function ‘__enable_controllers’: cgroup_helpers.c:80:17: warning: ‘strncpy’ specified bound 4097 equals destination size [-Wstringop-truncation] 80 | strncpy(enable, controllers, sizeof(enable)); | ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Signed-off-by: Rong Tao <rongtao@cestc.cn> Signed-off-by: Andrii Nakryiko <andrii@kernel.org> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/bpf/tencent_469D8AF32BD56816A29981BED06E96D22506@qq.com
2022-08-25selftests/bpf: extend cgroup helpersYosry Ahmed1-41/+161
This patch extends bpf selft cgroup_helpers [ID] n various ways: - Add enable_controllers() that allows tests to enable all or a subset of controllers for a specific cgroup. - Add join_cgroup_parent(). The cgroup workdir is based on the pid, therefore a spawned child cannot join the same cgroup hierarchy of the test through join_cgroup(). join_cgroup_parent() is used in child processes to join a cgroup under the parent's workdir. - Add write_cgroup_file() and write_cgroup_file_parent() (similar to join_cgroup_parent() above). - Add get_root_cgroup() for tests that need to do checks on root cgroup. - Distinguish relative and absolute cgroup paths in function arguments. Now relative paths are called relative_path, and absolute paths are called cgroup_path. 2021-09-14bpf, selftests: Add cgroup v1 net_cls classid helpersDaniel Borkmann1-9/+128
Minimal set of helpers for net_cls classid cgroupv1 management in order to set an id, join from a process, initiate setup and teardown. cgroupv2 helpers are left as-is, but reused where possible. 2020-08-02bpf, selftests: Use single cgroup helpers for both test_sockmap/progsJohn Fastabend1-0/+23
Nearly every user of cgroup helpers does the same sequence of API calls. So push these into a single helper cgroup_setup_and_join. The cases that do a bit of extra logic are test_progs which currently uses an env variable to decide if it needs to setup the cgroup environment or can use an existingi environment. And then tests that are doing cgroup tests themselves. We skip these cases for now. 2019-10-03selftests/bpf: Correct path to include msg + pathIvan Khoronzhuk1-1/+1
The "path" buf is supposed to contain path + printf msg up to 24 bytes. It will be cut anyway, but compiler generates truncation warns like: " samples/bpf/../../tools/testing/selftests/bpf/cgroup_helpers.c: In function ‘setup_cgroup_environment’: samples/bpf/../../tools/testing/selftests/bpf/cgroup_helpers.c:52:34: warning: ‘/cgroup.controllers’ directive output may be truncated writing 19 bytes into a region of size between 1 and 4097 [-Wformat-truncation=] snprintf(path, sizeof(path), "%s/cgroup.controllers", cgroup_path); ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ samples/bpf/../../tools/testing/selftests/bpf/cgroup_helpers.c:52:2: note: ‘snprintf’ output between 20 and 4116 bytes into a destination of size 4097 snprintf(path, sizeof(path), "%s/cgroup.controllers", cgroup_path); ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ samples/bpf/../../tools/testing/selftests/bpf/cgroup_helpers.c:72:34: warning: ‘/cgroup.subtree_control’ directive output may be truncated writing 23 bytes into a region of size between 1 and 4097 [-Wformat-truncation=] snprintf(path, sizeof(path), "%s/cgroup.subtree_control", ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ cgroup_path); samples/bpf/../../tools/testing/selftests/bpf/cgroup_helpers.c:72:2: note: ‘snprintf’ output between 24 and 4120 bytes into a destination of size 4097 snprintf(path, sizeof(path), "%s/cgroup.subtree_control", cgroup_path); " In order to avoid warns, lets decrease buf size for cgroup workdir on 24 bytes with assumption to include also "/cgroup.subtree_control" to the address. The cut will never happen anyway. 2019-10-03selftests/bpf: Add static to enable_all_controllers()Ivan Khoronzhuk1-1/+1
Add static to enable_all_controllers() to get rid from annoying warning during samples/bpf build: samples/bpf/../../tools/testing/selftests/bpf/cgroup_helpers.c:44:5: warning: no previous prototype for ‘enable_all_controllers’ [-Wmissing-prototypes] int enable_all_controllers(char *cgroup_path) Signed-off-by: Ivan Khoronzhuk <ivan.khoronzhuk@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Daniel Borkmann <daniel@iogearbox.net> Acked-by: Song Liu <songliubraving@fb.com> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/bpf/20191002120404.26962-2-ivan.khoronzhuk@linaro.org
2019-06-15selftests/bpf: signedness bug in enable_all_controllers()Dan Carpenter1-1/+1

2019-05-28selftests/bpf: enable all available cgroup v2 controllersRoman Gushchin1-0/+57

2019-01-08selftests/bpf: fix incorrect users of create_and_get_cgroupStanislav Fomichev1-3/+3
We have some tests that assume create_and_get_cgroup returns -1 on error which is incorrect (it returns 0 on error). Since fd might be zero in general case, change create_and_get_cgroup to return -1 on error and fix the users that assume 0 on error. Fixes: f269099a7e7a ("tools/bpf: add a selftest for bpf_get_current_cgroup_id() helper") Fixes: 7d2c6cfc5411 ("bpf: use --cgroup in test_suite if supplied") v2: - instead of fixing the uses that assume -1 on error, convert the users that assume 0 on error (fd might be zero in general case) Signed-off-by: Stanislav Fomichev <sdf@google.com> Signed-off-by: Alexei Starovoitov <ast@kernel.org>
