2021-02-02common: Drop asm/global_data.h from common headerSimon Glass1-0/+1
Move this out of the common header and include it only where needed. In a number of cases this requires adding "struct udevice;" to avoid adding another large header or in other cases replacing / adding missing header files that had been pulled in, very indirectly. Finally, we have a few cases where we did not need to include <asm/global_data.h> at all, so remove that include. 2020-07-17treewide: convert bd_t to struct bd_info by coccinelleMasahiro Yamada1-2/+2
The Linux coding style guide (Documentation/process/coding-style.rst) clearly says: It's a **mistake** to use typedef for structures and pointers. Besides, using typedef for structures is annoying when you try to make headers self-contained. Let's say you have the following function declaration in a header: void foo(bd_t *bd); This is not self-contained since bd_t is not defined. To tell the compiler what 'bd_t' is, you need to include <asm/u-boot.h> #include <asm/u-boot.h> void foo(bd_t *bd); Then, the include direcective pulls in more bloat needlessly. If you use 'struct bd_info' instead, it is enough to put a forward declaration as follows: struct bd_info; void foo(struct bd_info *bd); Right, typedef'ing bd_t is a mistake. I used coccinelle to generate this commit. The semantic patch that makes this change is as follows: <smpl> @@ typedef bd_t; @@ -bd_t +struct bd_info </smpl> Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <masahiroy@kernel.org>

2020-05-19common: Drop net.h from common headerSimon Glass1-0/+1
Move this header out of the common header. Network support is used in quite a few places but it still does not warrant blanket inclusion. Note that this net.h header itself has quite a lot in it. It could be split into the driver-mode support, functions, structures, checksumming, etc. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2020-01-17common: Move clock functions into a new fileSimon Glass1-0/+1
These three clock functions don't use driver model and should be migrated. In the meantime, create a new file to hold them. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2019-12-03Move strtomhz() to vsprintf.hSimon Glass1-0/+1
At present this function sits in its own file but it does not really justify it. There are similar string functions in vsprintf.h, so move it there. Also add the missing function comment. Use the vsprintf.h include file explicitly where needed. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

2018-09-11ARM: CPU: arm926ejs: Consolidate cache routines to common fileAdam Ford1-8/+0
Four different boards had different options for enabling cache that were virtually all the same. This consolidates these common functions into arch/arm/cpu/arm926ejs/cache.c This also has the positive side-effect of enabling cache on the Davinci (da850) boards. 2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini1-2/+1
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

2012-10-15mx25: Fix eSDHC supportBenoît Thébaudeau1-9/+10
The MMC driver appropriate for the i.MX25 is fsl_esdhc, which has nothing to do with mxcmmc. Also, each eSDHC instance has a dedicated clock, so gd->sdhc_clk must be set accordingly. This is good for the case only a single SDHC instance is used (initialization made with fsl_esdhc_mmc_init()). A future patch will fix the multi-instance use case (initialization made directly with fsl_esdhc_initialize()).
