2021-02-02common: Drop asm/global_data.h from common headerSimon Glass3-0/+3
Move this out of the common header and include it only where needed. In a number of cases this requires adding "struct udevice;" to avoid adding another large header or in other cases replacing / adding missing header files that had been pulled in, very indirectly. Finally, we have a few cases where we did not need to include <asm/global_data.h> at all, so remove that include. 2020-11-20microblaze: Enable GCC garbage collector for full U-BootMichal Simek2-3/+6
GCC's garbage collector works for Microblaze for quite a long time but none has enabled it. The same change has be done for example by commit fac4790491f6 ("arc: Eliminate unused code and data with GCC's garbage collector"). Before: text data bss dec hex filename 588760 33592 39192 661544 a1828 u-boot After: text data bss dec hex filename 504504 32164 38608 575276 8c72c u-boot Which saves almost 15% of memory footprint. 2020-10-27microblaze: start.S: Factor out exception setup code to __setup_exceptionsOvidiu Panait1-94/+103
Currently, the exceptions setup code is duplicated in pre-relocation and post-relocation init. Factor out this code to __setup_exceptions asm routine to get rid of the duplication. __setup_exceptions is called with a relocation offset parameter (r5) which is set to zero for pre-reloc init and gd->reloc_off for post-reloc exception setup. 2020-08-01efi_loader: use CONFIG_STACK_SIZE in the UEFI sub-systemHeinrich Schuchardt1-8/+0
The Kconfig symbol CONFIG_STACK_SIZE is used both by ARM and Microblaze with the same meaning. Move it to menu 'General setup' so that we can use it for all architectures. 2020-05-19command: Remove the cmd_tbl_t typedefSimon Glass3-3/+4
We should not use typedefs in U-Boot. They cannot be used as forward declarations which means that header files must include the full header to access them. There is no reason to use private code for standard bootm command. Current implementation is also broken and don't support image relocation properly. Switching to generic bootm implementation is fixing these issues. cmdline and bdt bootm subcommands are returning -1 because they are not implemented. 2018-07-19microblaze: Convert generic platform to DM gpioMichal Simek3-13/+9
Converting GPIO to DM requires to do changes in reset subsystem that's why support for Microblaze soft reset via sysreset and GPIO sysreset support was added. These two patches enables enabling GPIO DM. Microblaze soft reset is bind at last reset method. GPIO reset is handled via sysreset with adding this fragment to DT. gpio-restart { compatible = "gpio-restart"; gpios = <&reset_gpio 0 0 0>; /* 3rd cell ACTIVE_HIGH = 0, ACTIVE_LOW = 1 */ }; hard-reset-gpio property is not documented and also handled. Timer needs to be converted to DM but as of now it can't be called so early because intc controller is not ready. Call it later in board_r.c. Before this patch timer_init is called twice which is wrong. The patch is blocking initialization before relocation. 2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini26-56/+26
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents.
