2019-03-02powerpc: enabled building with CONFIG_DM=yHeinrich Schuchardt1-3/+3
Moving to the driver model requires CONFIG_DM to be enabled. Currently several boards like kmeter1_defconfig produce a build error when CONFIG_DM is enabled: In file included from include/common.h:35, from ./arch/powerpc/include/asm/fsl_lbc.h:10, from include/mpc83xx.h:10, from ./arch/powerpc/include/asm/ppc.h:27, from ./arch/powerpc/include/asm/u-boot.h:18, from include/dm/of.h:10, from include/dm/ofnode.h:12, from include/dm/device.h:13, from include/linux/mtd/mtd.h:26, from drivers/mtd/mtdconcat.c:25: include/image.h: In function ‘image_check_target_arch’: include/image.h:846:3: error: #error "please define IH_ARCH_DEFAULT in your arch asm/u-boot.h" # error "please define IH_ARCH_DEFAULT in your arch asm/u-boot.h" ^~~~~ include/image.h:848:31: error: ‘IH_ARCH_DEFAULT’ undeclared (first use in this function); did you mean ‘IH_ARCH_COUNT’? return image_check_arch(hdr, IH_ARCH_DEFAULT); The error can be avoided by moving the definition of IH_ARCH_DEFAULT before #include <asm/ppc.h> Signed-off-by: Heinrich Schuchardt <xypron.glpk@gmx.de> Reviewed-by: Prabhakar Kushwaha <prabhakar.kushwaha@nxp.com>
2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini1-2/+1
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2017-06-05common: powerpc: Move arch-specific headersSimon Glass1-0/+1
Set up a new asm/ppc.h header file to hold this arch-specific stuff. It should not be in common.h. It probably should be refactored to use asm/arch instead, but that is a job for the maintainer. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2016-05-27powerpc: Drop unused code related to generic boardSimon Glass1-104/+0
Since generic board init is enabled, this is not used. Drop it. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2014-10-27ppc: Zap Hymod boardMarek Vasut1-3/+0
Remove this board as this is the only one last user of eeprom_probe(), which is pretty non-standard stuff. This patch also removes all the PHP, SQL and CSS stuff from U-Boot, which probably makes U-Boot a bit less IoT ;-) Signed-off-by: Marek Vasut <marex@denx.de> Cc: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.m@jp.panasonic.com> Cc: Tom Rini <trini@ti.com> Cc: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de> Cc: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Cc: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de>
2014-05-12bd_info: remove bi_barudrate member from struct bd_infoMasahiro Yamada1-1/+0
gd->bd->bi_baudrate is a copy of gd->baudrate. Since baudrate is a common feature for all architectures, keep gd->baudrate only. It is true that bi_baudrate was passed to the kernel in that structure but it was a long time ago. 2014-04-18powerpc: remove NX823 board supportMasahiro Yamada1-3/+0
Enough time has passed since this board was moved to Orphan. Remove. - Remove board/nx823/* - Remove include/configs/NX823.h - Clean-up ifdef(CONFIG_NX823) - Move the entry from boards.cfg to doc/README.scrapyard Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.m@jp.panasonic.com>
2014-03-07powerpc: mpc8260: consolidate CONFIG_MPC8260 and CONFIG_8260Masahiro Yamada1-1/+1
Before this commit, CONFIG_MPC8260 and CONFIG_8260 were used mixed-up. All boards with mpc8260 cpu defined both of them: - CONFIG_MPC8260 was defined in board config headers and include/common.h - CONFIG_8260 was defined arch/powerpc/cpu/mpc8260/config.mk We do not need to have both of them. This commit keeps only CONFIG_MPC8260. This commit does: - Delete CONFIG_8260 and CONFIG_MPC8260 definition in config headers and include/common.h - Rename CONFIG_8260 to CONFIG_MPC8260 in arch/powerpc/cpu/mpc8260/config.mk. - Rename #ifdef CONFIG_8260 to #ifdef CONFIG_MPC8260 Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.m@jp.panasonic.com> Cc: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de>

2012-09-03powerpc: re-add bi_ip_addr to bd_t structAnatolij Gustschin1-0/+1
Since commit 50a47d0523e8efebe912bef539a77ffd42116451 (net: punt bd->bi_ip_addr) booting old 2.4.x ppc kernels is broken due to changed offsets of the fields in struct bd_t. Offsets of the fields after removed bi_ip_addr are wrong, causing wrong bus clocks and console baudrate configurations and various other issues. Re-add the bi_ip_addr field to preserve backward compatibility with older ppc kernels. Setting bi_ip_addr in board.c is not really needed, grepping in the 2.4 linux tree shows that bi_ip_addr is not accessed there. Adding bi_ip_addr to struct bd_t for other arches isn't needed it seems. bd_t is not used by other arches in the 2.4 linux tree. 2012-05-16net: punt bd->bi_ip_addrMike Frysinger1-1/+0
This field gets read in one place (by "bdinfo"), and we can replace that with getenv("ipaddr"). After all, the bi_ip_addr field is kept up-to-date implicitly with the value of the ipaddr env var. Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org> Reviewed-by: Joe Hershberger <joe.hershberger@ni.com>
2011-10-06image: push default arch values to arch headersMike Frysinger1-0/+4

2010-10-19powerpc: Cleanup BOOTFLAG_* referencesPeter Tyser1-1/+1
Now that warm booting is not supported, there isn't a need for the BOOTFLAG_COLD and BOOTFLAG_WARM defines, so remove them. Note that this change makes the board info bd_bootflags field useless. It will always be set to 0, but we leave it around so that we don't break the board info structure that some OSes are expecting to be passed from U-Boot. 2010-04-22Move arch/ppc to arch/powerpcStefan Roese1-0/+146
As discussed on the list, move "arch/ppc" to "arch/powerpc" to better match the Linux directory structure. Please note that this patch also changes the "ppc" target in MAKEALL to "powerpc" to match this new infrastructure. But "ppc" is kept as an alias for now, to not break compatibility with scripts using this name.
