2020-06-18powerpc: Remove P1022DS_36BIT_NAND_defconfig boardJagan Teki1-131/+0
DM_SPI and other driver model migration deadlines are expired for this board. Remove it. Patch-cc: Timur Tabi <timur@tabi.org> Signed-off-by: Jagan Teki <jagan@amarulasolutions.com> Reviewed-by: Priyanka Jain <priyanka.jain@nxp.com>
2020-01-17common: Move clock functions into a new fileSimon Glass1-0/+1
These three clock functions don't use driver model and should be migrated. In the meantime, create a new file to hold them. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2020-01-17common: Move relocate_code() to init.hSimon Glass1-0/+1
This is an init function so move it out of the common header. Avoid using the typedef so that we don't have to include the global_data header file. Also tidy up the function style in comments while we are here. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2019-11-21env: Finish migration of common ENV optionsTom Rini1-2/+2
- In ARMv8 NXP Layerscape platforms we also need to make use of CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR now, do so. - On ENV_IS_IN_REMOTE, CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET is never used, drop the define to 0. - Add Kconfig entry for ENV_ADDR. - Make ENV_ADDR / ENV_OFFSET depend on the env locations that use it. - Add ENV_xxx_REDUND options that depend on their primary option and SYS_REDUNDAND_ENVIRONMENT - On a number of PowerPC platforms, use SPL_ENV_ADDR not CONFIG_ENV_ADDR for the pre-main-U-Boot environment location. - On ENV_IS_IN_SPI_FLASH, check not for CONFIG_ENV_ADDR being set but rather it being non-zero, as it will now be zero by default. - Rework the env_offset absolute in env/embedded.o to not use CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET as it was the only use of ENV_OFFSET within ENV_IS_IN_FLASH. - Migrate all platforms. 2019-08-12env: Rename environment.h to env_internal.hSimon Glass1-1/+1
This file contains lots of internal details about the environment. Most code can include env.h instead, calling the functions there as needed. Rename this file and add a comment at the top to indicate its internal nature. 2019-08-11env: Move env_init() to env.hSimon Glass1-0/+1
Move env_init() over to the new header file. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Acked-by: Joe Hershberger <joe.hershberger@ni.com>
2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini1-2/+1
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2017-08-15env: Add an enum for environment stateSimon Glass1-1/+2
At present we have three states for the environment, numbered 0, 1 and 2. Add an enum to record this to avoid open-coded values. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2017-04-13board_f: Rename initdram() to dram_init()Simon Glass1-1/+1
This allows us to use the same DRAM init function on all archs. Add a dummy function for arc, which does not use DRAM init here. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> [trini: Dummy function on nios2] Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2017-04-05board_f: Drop return value from initdram()Simon Glass1-1/+1
At present we cannot use this function as an init sequence call without a wrapper, since it returns the RAM size. Adjust it to set the RAM size in global_data instead, and return 0 on success. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Stefan Roese <sr@denx.de>
2017-04-05board_f: Drop board_type parameter from initdram()Simon Glass1-1/+1
It looks like only cm5200 and tqm8xx use this feature, so we don't really need it in generic code. Drop it and have the users access gd->board_type directly. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Stefan Roese <sr@denx.de>
2017-01-26powerpc: Drop probecpu() in favour of arch_cpu_init()Simon Glass1-1/+1
To avoid an unnecessary arch-specific call in board_init_f(), rename this function. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2016-10-06spi: Move freescale-specific code into a private headerSimon Glass1-1/+2
At present there are two SPI functions only used by freescale which are defined in the spi_flash.h header. One function name matches an existing generic SPL function. Move these into a private header to avoid confusion. Arcturus looks like it does not actually support SPI, so drop the SPI code from that board. 2015-11-20Move console definitions into a new console.h fileSimon Glass1-0/+1

2014-02-21common: Add get_effective_memsize() to memsize.cYork Sun1-1/+1
This function has been around for powerpc. It is used for systems with memory more than CONFIG_MAX_MEM_MAPPED. In case of non-contiguous memory, this feature can limit U-boot to one block without going over the limit.
