CONFIG_SYS_DFU_MAX_FILE_SIZE to Kconfig Currently the config options CONFIG_SYS_DFU_DATA_BUF_SIZE and CONFIG_SYS_DFU_MAX_FILE_SIZE are being set in include/configs/<board>.h files and also in <board_name>_defconfig files without a Kconfig option. It is easier for users to set these configs in defconfig files than in config header files as they are a part of the source code. Add Kconfig symbols, and update the defconfigs by using tools/moveconfig.py script. 2021-06-09net: convert TFTP_TSIZE to proper Kconfig optionTero Kristo1-0/+1
TFTP transfer size can be used to re-size the TFTP progress bar on single line based on the server reported file size. The support for this has been around from 2019, but it was never converted to proper Kconfig. While adding this new Kconfig, enable it by default for OMAP2+ and K3 devices also. 2020-09-17colibri-imx6ull: use preboot for fdtfile evaluationIgor Opaniuk1-0/+2
Enable and set preboot var with fdtfile evaluation. preboot will be checked and run immediately before starting the CONFIG_BOOTDELAY countdown and/or running the auto-boot command resp. entering interactive mode. This provides possibility to use different boot cmds in interactive mode without manual setting fdtfile value, as it it's already evaluated before entering interactive mode. 2020-08-25arm: mx6: Make all i.MX6 SoCs user-selectableTom Rini1-1/+2
We have a number of platforms that are a combination of a carrier board and System-on-Module (SoM) that in turn allows for the board to have different SoCs on it. In some cases, this is handled via board-specific Kconfig options. In other cases we make use of CONFIG_SYS_EXTRA_OPTIONS. This latter case however can lead to invalid configurations as we will not in turn get options that in Kconfig are selected by or depend on that setting. To resolve this, make the SoC option a choice in Kconfig and make boards depend on what they can support. This change opens us up for further clean-ups in the cases where a single CONFIG_TARGET_xxx can support different SoCs and today they do not, or do not cleanly do so. This introduces automatic boot counter that increases after every reset.After a power-on reset, it will be initialized with 1, and each reboot will increment the value by 1. By default it's disabled if bootlimit isn't set. To enable this feature you have set bootcount limit ("bootlimit"), alternate boot action ("altbootcmd") that will be performed if the new value of bootcount exceeds the value of bootlimit, and "upgrade_available" to let U-Boot automatically increase and save the counter value after every reset: > setenv bootlimit 5 > setenv upgrade_available 1 > setenv altbootcmd "bootm ..." In case the bootlimit exceeds, the message will be shown and albootcmd executed: Warning: Bootlimit (5) exceeded. Using altbootcmd. Many boards do not use all selected framebuffer depth configurations, for such boards there is some unused code in video and console uclass routines. Make depth specific code optional to avoid dead code and slightly reduce binary size. Also make ANSI code optional for the same reason. - In ARMv8 NXP Layerscape platforms we also need to make use of CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR now, do so. - On ENV_IS_IN_REMOTE, CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET is never used, drop the define to 0. - Add Kconfig entry for ENV_ADDR. - Make ENV_ADDR / ENV_OFFSET depend on the env locations that use it. - Add ENV_xxx_REDUND options that depend on their primary option and SYS_REDUNDAND_ENVIRONMENT - On a number of PowerPC platforms, use SPL_ENV_ADDR not CONFIG_ENV_ADDR for the pre-main-U-Boot environment location. - On ENV_IS_IN_SPI_FLASH, check not for CONFIG_ENV_ADDR being set but rather it being non-zero, as it will now be zero by default. - Rework the env_offset absolute in env/embedded.o to not use CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET as it was the only use of ENV_OFFSET within ENV_IS_IN_FLASH. - Migrate all platforms.
