CONFIG_SYS_DFU_MAX_FILE_SIZE to Kconfig Currently the config options CONFIG_SYS_DFU_DATA_BUF_SIZE and CONFIG_SYS_DFU_MAX_FILE_SIZE are being set in include/configs/<board>.h files and also in <board_name>_defconfig files without a Kconfig option. It is easier for users to set these configs in defconfig files than in config header files as they are a part of the source code. Add Kconfig symbols, and update the defconfigs by using tools/moveconfig.py script. This reverts commit 03a673cf49e ("dh_imx6: Switch to full DM-aware"). According to discussion [1], the patch is known to break the dh_imx6 board, however it made it upstream just before 2021.01-rc4, likely by mistake. Revert this patch to put the board back into working order. Also note that this board has no DM SPL support due to OCRAM size limitations, but that is fine, as SPL DM support is optional. 2020-08-25arm: mx6: Make all i.MX6 SoCs user-selectableTom Rini1-0/+1
We have a number of platforms that are a combination of a carrier board and System-on-Module (SoM) that in turn allows for the board to have different SoCs on it. In some cases, this is handled via board-specific Kconfig options. In other cases we make use of CONFIG_SYS_EXTRA_OPTIONS. This latter case however can lead to invalid configurations as we will not in turn get options that in Kconfig are selected by or depend on that setting. To resolve this, make the SoC option a choice in Kconfig and make boards depend on what they can support. This change opens us up for further clean-ups in the cases where a single CONFIG_TARGET_xxx can support different SoCs and today they do not, or do not cleanly do so. As explained in the CONFIG_DM_MDIO text inside drivers/net/Kconfig: "Useful in particular for systems that support DM_ETH and have a stand-alone MDIO hardware block shared by multiple Ethernet interfaces." i.MX6 has a single FEC instance, so there is no need to select CONFIG_DM_MDIO. Use DM_ETH instead of legacy networking. Add VIO as a fixed regulator to the relevant device-trees and augment the FEC node with properties for the reset GPIO. It should be noted that the relevant properties for the reset GPIO already exist in the PHY node (reset-gpios, reset-delay-us, reset-post-delay-us) but U-Boot currently ignores those and only supports the bus-level reset properties in the FEC node (phy-reset-gpios, phy-reset-duration, phy-reset-post-delay). - In ARMv8 NXP Layerscape platforms we also need to make use of CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR now, do so. - On ENV_IS_IN_REMOTE, CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET is never used, drop the define to 0. - Add Kconfig entry for ENV_ADDR. - Make ENV_ADDR / ENV_OFFSET depend on the env locations that use it. - Add ENV_xxx_REDUND options that depend on their primary option and SYS_REDUNDAND_ENVIRONMENT - On a number of PowerPC platforms, use SPL_ENV_ADDR not CONFIG_ENV_ADDR for the pre-main-U-Boot environment location. - On ENV_IS_IN_SPI_FLASH, check not for CONFIG_ENV_ADDR being set but rather it being non-zero, as it will now be zero by default. - Rework the env_offset absolute in env/embedded.o to not use CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET as it was the only use of ENV_OFFSET within ENV_IS_IN_FLASH. - Migrate all platforms. This patch enables DM I2C for DHCOM i.MX6 PDK2 boards and removes non DM I2C code. The I2C EEPROM with ethaddr (MAC) is defined in the device tree. Use UCLASS_I2C_EEPROM to find the device by fixed hardware path and read the ethaddr. Tested with DHCOM i.MX6dl and DHCOM i.MX6q.
