2022-12-13sunxi: define SYS_MONITOR_LEN in Kconfig, not _defconfigAndre Przywara1-1/+0
Commit 08574ed339fb ("Convert CONFIG_SYS_MONITOR_LEN to Kconfig") moved the definition of said config variable from the common sunxi header to *every board's* defconfig. This is a platform choice, not board specific, so remove the variable from there, instead set the one value for all Allwinner boards in Kconfig. This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_SYS_MONITOR_LEN To do this, we set a default of 0 for everyone because there are a number of cases where we define CONFIG_SYS_MONITOR_LEN but the only impact is that we set TOTAL_MALLOC_LEN to be CONFIG_SYS_MALLOC_LEN + CONFIG_ENV_SIZE, so we must continue to allow all boards to set this value. Update the SPL code to use 200 KB as the default raw U-Boot size directly, if we don't have a real CONFIG_SYS_MONITOR_LEN value. 2022-10-18sunxi: defconfig: drop redundant definitionsAndre Przywara1-3/+0
When some configuration symbols were converted from header files to Kconfig, their values were placed into *every* defconfig file. Since we now have sensible per-SoC defaults defined in Kconfig, those values are now redundant, and can just be removed. 2020-03-18sunxi: Remove no longer needed default options from defconfigsAndre Przywara1-6/+0
Now that those common Allwinner config symbols are defined automatically for all boards in their Kconfig files, we can remove the now redundant definitions from the boards' _defconfig files. Some boards had a differing definiton for some of those symbols, it looks like mostly to "merge races" when the symbol was introduced (new board *_defconfig file missed the "add symbol to all files" patch). In order to facilitate migration of other symbols to Kconfig we need to introduce a new symbol for this particular use case. 2019-07-15sunxi: move CONFIG_SPL_TEXT_BASE from *_defconfig to KconfigAndre Przywara1-1/+0
The choice of the SPL_TEXT_BASE is not really a decision that should be specified by each board's defconfig, as this setting is actually dictated by the SoC's memory map and the BootROM behaviour. To make this obvious and reduce the clutter in the defconfig files, let's specify the SoC constraints in the Kconfig stanza. This allows us to remove these lines from the defconfig files again. 2019-04-10arm: sunxi: Enable DRAM ODT by default on H3/H5Paul Kocialkowski1-0/+1
Most of the boards we support with H3/H5 enable DRAM on-die termination, which is consistent with the high DRAM clocks that are used. Make it the default (like it's done for other similar platforms) instead of defining it in each defconfig. The Detection pin is at PF6 and not at PH13 like defined before. I checked the schematics and now I am am not seeing this error message any more: Loading Environment from FAT... Card did not respond to voltage select! CONFIG_MMC_SUNXI_SLOT_EXTRA is also not needed because the second MCC slot is for the Wifi card. We have the following cases: - CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS was defined, migrate normally - CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS_MAX was defined and then used for CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS after a check, just migrate it over now. - CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS was very oddly defined on p2771-0000-* (to 1024 + 2), set this to 8.
