2022-11-10Convert CONFIG_SYS_MONITOR_LEN to KconfigTom Rini1-0/+1
This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_SYS_MONITOR_LEN To do this, we set a default of 0 for everyone because there are a number of cases where we define CONFIG_SYS_MONITOR_LEN but the only impact is that we set TOTAL_MALLOC_LEN to be CONFIG_SYS_MALLOC_LEN + CONFIG_ENV_SIZE, so we must continue to allow all boards to set this value. Update the SPL code to use 200 KB as the default raw U-Boot size directly, if we don't have a real CONFIG_SYS_MONITOR_LEN value. Some STM32 MCU's board need their SYS_MALLOC_F_LEN value enlarged to avoid the "alloc space exhausted" error message during their boot process. 2022-09-26configs: stm32f769-disco: Fix internal flash sizePatrice Chotard1-1/+1
arch-stm32f7/stm32.h file is shared between STM32F746 and STM32F769 MCUs. But STM32F769 embeds 2MB of internal flash instead of 1MB for STM32F746. The flash layout is quite similar between the 2 SoCs : STM32F746 STM32F769 4 * 32KB sectors 4 * 32KB sectors 1 * 128KB sector 1 * 128KB sector 3 * 256KB sectors 7 * 256KB sectors Update sect_sz_kb[] structure and SYS_MAX_FLASH_SECT accordingly. - Make all users of CUSTOM_SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR reference SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR - Introduce HAS_CUSTOM_SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR to allow for setting the stack pointer directly, otherwise we use the common calculation. - On some platforms that were using the standard calculation but did not set CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZE / CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_ADDR, set them. - On a small number of platforms that were not subtracting GENERATED_GBL_DATA_SIZE do so now via the standard calculation. - CONFIG_SYS_INIT_SP_OFFSET is now widely unused, so remove it from most board config header files. 2021-05-11DM: DM_MMC migration is now mandatory for non-SPLTom Rini1-1/+1
As it has been now two years past the migration deadline, it is required to have migrated. Remove the check from the Makefile and rework some of the Kconfig logic slightly to get the functional dependencies of DM_MMC / BLK right in both the SPL and non-SPL case. Many boards do not use all selected framebuffer depth configurations, for such boards there is some unused code in video and console uclass routines. Make depth specific code optional to avoid dead code and slightly reduce binary size. Also make ANSI code optional for the same reason. - In ARMv8 NXP Layerscape platforms we also need to make use of CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR now, do so. - On ENV_IS_IN_REMOTE, CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET is never used, drop the define to 0. - Add Kconfig entry for ENV_ADDR. - Make ENV_ADDR / ENV_OFFSET depend on the env locations that use it. - Add ENV_xxx_REDUND options that depend on their primary option and SYS_REDUNDAND_ENVIRONMENT - On a number of PowerPC platforms, use SPL_ENV_ADDR not CONFIG_ENV_ADDR for the pre-main-U-Boot environment location. - On ENV_IS_IN_SPI_FLASH, check not for CONFIG_ENV_ADDR being set but rather it being non-zero, as it will now be zero by default. - Rework the env_offset absolute in env/embedded.o to not use CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET as it was the only use of ENV_OFFSET within ENV_IS_IN_FLASH. - Migrate all platforms.
