2020-06-25tbs2910: Drop the 'bd' commandSimon Glass1-0/+1
This board is very close to its limit. Drop this command before the bd refactoring, which increases the size slightly on one toolchain. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Bin Meng <bmeng.cn@gmail.com>

2020-06-12board: tbs2910: Enable distro_boot support.Denis 'GNUtoo' Carikli1-1/+2
This keeps the compatibility with the old bootcmd. The fdtfile environment variable also needed to be set to imx6q-tbs2910.dtb to enable booting mainline kernels otherwise with extlinux.conf it tries to load mx6-tbs2910.dtb instead. With arm-linux-gnueabi-gcc 9.2.0-1 from the Parabola GNU/Linux distribution, we have the following size differences: - text: +2041 bytes - data: 0 bytes - bss: 0 bytes - total: +2041 bytes Signed-off-by: Denis 'GNUtoo' Carikli <GNUtoo@cyberdimension.org> Reviewed-by: Soeren Moch <smoch@web.de>
2020-06-12board: tbs2910_defconfig: Add support for booting general purpose distributionsDenis 'GNUtoo' Carikli1-0/+2
This is needed to enable distro_boot support later on. Adding the necessary configuration to enable booting general purpose distributions is typically done by enabling CONFIG_DISTRO_DEFAULTS. However the resulting image size is is already very close to the size limit and PXE isn't strictly needed, so instead we made sure that all the configuration selected by CONFIG_DISTRO_DEFAULTS were selected, with the exception of PXE related configuration (CONFIG_BOOTP_PXE and CONFIG_CMD_PXE) that are both disabled. With arm-linux-gnueabi-gcc 9.3.0-1 from the Parabola GNU/Linux distribution, we have the following size differences: - text: +7526 bytes - data: +28 bytes - bss: -12 bytes - total: +7542 bytes Signed-off-by: Denis 'GNUtoo' Carikli <GNUtoo@cyberdimension.org> Reviewed-by: Soeren Moch <smoch@web.de>
2020-06-12board: tbs2910: move CONFIG_BOOTCOMMAND from header to defconfigDenis 'GNUtoo' Carikli1-0/+2
This doesn't affect the size of the image: with arm-linux-gnueabi-gcc 9.2.0-1 from the Parabola GNU/Linux distribution, the text, data, bss and total sizes remain unchanged. Signed-off-by: Denis 'GNUtoo' Carikli <GNUtoo@cyberdimension.org> Reviewed-by: Soeren Moch <smoch@web.de>
2020-06-12board: tbs2910: disable CONFIG_GZIPDenis 'GNUtoo' Carikli1-0/+1
As that the resulting image is already very close to the size limit, and that CONFIG_GZIP is not strictly required, removing it shouldn't hurt. With arm-linux-gnueabi-gcc 9.2.0-1 from the Parabola GNU/Linux distribution we have the following size reduction: - text: 9752 - data: 0 - bss: 16 - total: 9768 Signed-off-by: Denis 'GNUtoo' Carikli <GNUtoo@cyberdimension.org> Acked-by: Soeren Moch <smoch@web.de>
2020-06-12board: tbs2910: disable loadb and loads commandsDenis 'GNUtoo' Carikli1-0/+2
The loadb and loads commands are not needed for booting. There are also more reliable and faster alternatives to loadb and loads that can be used with the current configuration. As that the resulting image is already very close to the size limit, removing the loadb and loads commands shouldn't hurt. With arm-linux-gnueabi-gcc 9.2.0-1 from the Parabola GNU/Linux distribution we have the following size reduction: - text: 6733 bytes - data: 116 bytes - bss: 1172 bytes - total: 8021 bytes Signed-off-by: Denis 'GNUtoo' Carikli <GNUtoo@cyberdimension.org> Acked-by: Soeren Moch <smoch@web.de>

2019-11-21env: Finish migration of common ENV optionsTom Rini1-0/+2
- In ARMv8 NXP Layerscape platforms we also need to make use of CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR now, do so. - On ENV_IS_IN_REMOTE, CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET is never used, drop the define to 0. - Add Kconfig entry for ENV_ADDR. - Make ENV_ADDR / ENV_OFFSET depend on the env locations that use it. - Add ENV_xxx_REDUND options that depend on their primary option and SYS_REDUNDAND_ENVIRONMENT - On a number of PowerPC platforms, use SPL_ENV_ADDR not CONFIG_ENV_ADDR for the pre-main-U-Boot environment location. - On ENV_IS_IN_SPI_FLASH, check not for CONFIG_ENV_ADDR being set but rather it being non-zero, as it will now be zero by default. - Rework the env_offset absolute in env/embedded.o to not use CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET as it was the only use of ENV_OFFSET within ENV_IS_IN_FLASH. - Migrate all platforms. 2019-01-19Kconfig: Migrate BOUNCE_BUFFERPhilipp Tomsich1-0/+1
The bounce buffer is used by a few drivers (most of the MMC drivers) to overcome limitations in their respective DMA implementation. This moves the configuration to Kconfig and makes it user-selectable (even though it will be a required feature to make those drivers work): the expected usage is for drivers depending on this to 'select' it unconditionally from their respective Kconfig (see follow-up patches). This commit includes a full migration using moveconfig.py to ensure that each commit compiles. To ensure bisectability we update dependencies of various drivers to now select BOUNCE_BUFFER when needed. 2017-09-01configs: Migrate all of the existing USB symbols, except fastbootTom Rini1-0/+1
This syncs all of the currently Kconfig'd symbols out of the headers and into the defconfig files. This has two exceptions, first am335x_evm needs to be converted to DM in SPL and then it can stop undef'ing CONFIG_DM_USB. Leaving this as-is results in a build failure, and without work, run time failure. The other case is am43xx_evm.h and in turn am43xx_evm_usbhost_boot. The problem here is that we need DWC3 USB host mode in SPL, but still desire to have gadget mode in U-Boot proper. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
