2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini1-2/+1
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. 2017-10-16iso: Reduce verbosity on test and info callsAlexander Graf1-2/+2
The test and info callbacks into the partition callback struct are used by the "part list" command on the command line. That command is used by the distro script. With verb=1 set, "part list" thus throws a lot of warnings about partitions it can't find when an upper layer searches for partitions. 2016-10-02disk: part: implement generic function part_get_info_by_name()Petr Kulhavy1-0/+1
So far partition search by name has been supported only on the EFI partition table. This patch extends the search to all partition tables. Rename part_get_info_efi_by_name() to part_get_info_by_name(), move it from part_efi.c into part.c and make it a generic function which traverses all part drivers and searches all partitions (in the order given by the linked list). For this a new variable struct part_driver.max_entries is added, which limits the number of partitions searched. For EFI this was GPT_ENTRY_NUMBERS. Similarly the limit is defined for DOS, ISO, MAC and AMIGA partition tables. 2016-03-15dm: part: Convert partition API use to linker listsSimon Glass1-5/+11
We can use linker lists instead of explicitly declaring each function. This makes the code shorter by avoiding switch() statements and lots of header file declarations. While this does clean up the code it introduces a few code issues with SPL. SPL never needs to print partition information since this all happens from commands. SPL mostly doesn't need to obtain information about a partition either, except in a few cases. Add these cases so that the code will be dropped from each partition driver when not needed. This avoids code bloat. I think this is still a win, since it is not a bad thing to be explicit about which features are used in SPL. But others may like to weigh in. 2013-07-16Fix ext2/ext4 filesystem accesses beyond 2TiBFrederic Leroy1-2/+2
With CONFIG_SYS_64BIT_LBA, lbaint_t gets defined as a 64-bit type, which is required to represent block numbers for storage devices that exceed 2TiB (the block size usually is 512B), e.g. recent hard drives We now use lbaint_t for partition offset to reflect the lbaint_t change, and access partitions beyond or crossing the 2.1TiB limit. This required changes to signature of ext4fs_devread(), and type of all variables relatives to block sector. ext2/ext4 fs uses logical block represented by a 32 bit value. Logical block is a multiple of device block sector. To avoid overflow problem when calling ext4fs_devread(), we need to cast the sector parameter. Signed-off-by: Frédéric Leroy <fredo@starox.org>
